    A good Japanese bank (LOKE, Kotodama...) can handle English and Spanish very well.

    Heck, a basic Japanese bank (Okiamiuta Ebi) can sing English AMAZINGLY when in the right hands.

    In all honesty, if you want your UTAU to sing EVERY language, I suggest hitting Wikipedia to check out their pages on X-SAMPA, then combining every. single. vowel. with every. single. consonant.
    To make things easier, they do have pages with little sound bytes to show you the pronunciation.

    I also suggest encoding your samples in X-SAMPA. It's what N~AL uses, and it's not too hard once you get it down.

    Just record the sound bank as you do the songs. You know, when you get to a sound that you don't have ... just record one. That's what I'm doing, and that's why everything is taking loooooong ¬___¬

    Ahniaeyo~ Don't do thattt~ 8A8;;;;

    You want to make a voicebank in an organized way, so you make sure you don't miss anything. ;u;/

    If at all, have a list of vowel sounds, and record the consonants as you go, but going at it randomly will take forever, and you wont even be sure if you have the fullest set possible. 8u8;;;

    Anyways,
    Doing a set of languages unrelated to each other sounds kind of odd, unless you're planning on doing EVERY VOWEL AND CONSONANT IN THE WORLD. @A@;;;

    Like, I understand an UTAU doing sets like East Asian Languages together (Chinese, Korean, and Japanese) because the languages are phonetically closest to each other than with any other languages. (Like, Romance languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French go together, and English and German are the same catergory of language) But even then, in each individual language, theres different dialects and pronounciations;;; (Like, even though I am Korean, I can't speak/pronounce Northern Dialect, even though I can understand it)8u8 /walloftext

    SO IF YOU SKIPPED THAT BIG OL BLOCK OF TEXT, basically, Syo's the type that believes Voice Actors should stick with recording languages they speak, since they won't be able to pronounce foreign languages accurately.

    BUT if you wanna go through with that Polyglot project, I suggest using the X-SAMPA and making a list, its going to take tons of patience and time to do. eAe;;

    That is indeed a good idea. It takes long, but recording every sample of a languange even takes longer, and you can finish the song.
    My UTAU can sing some Dutch (in act 2) and I didn't record everything. only the SCH and G and such.
    What annamaeblythe said, listening to the languanges is really useful. But, people who speak English as their first languange, aren't able to pronounce some things. (like haring uit scheveningen and angstschreeuw) I think you should keep that in mind.

    Ari being too lazy to sign out of nanashi:
    I understand that but Im not doing a song I think ill do like Act2.1 2.2 2.3 etc etc Releasing different languages each act... so with Act 2 only English and Japanese are out and maybe Korean or something a little extra

    To my knowledge, Portuguese and Japanese are not related at all, but still have basically the same pronunciation.

    ... To make this easier for you to read, I'll put it in big pink font.
    If you mispronounce things in the bank, it's really useless. Unless you believe you can imitate foreign languages perfectly just by listening and repeating... No. Just don't try. It's pointless to attempt to force multilingualism when the voicer can't speak the language (or a closely related branch of the language). That isn't to say that you can't make your UTAU sing in that language... But... no. Just no.

    But, dude, I think the most complete English bank in existence is about 1,000 samples. That's a lot, and some sounds are repeated. If one were to combine a whole clusterf*** of unrelated languages... it would be bulky and repetitive, and good gosh, just a hassle to make and use.

    (I mean... Anaka's 1,400 sample bank almost crashes UTAU When I open it.)

    Yes, and there is the issue of dialects,
    My family is Ilacano filipino, and , that kinda means my grandparents only speak that dialect, now, if they were to say, try and speak, sagago , then it would be very hard or impossible.and yes, If you can speak the language, or can pronounce it right, go for it, but, if youre, so english, and you dont know latin, dont try it, 8/10 times it will result in very touristy sounding voices. Its like making ruko sing korean (which was nice but kinda epic failed Dx) and also, from experience, I know its hard to do it without fully understanding how to pronounce foreign languages, up until act 2-3 I couldnt pronounce R sounds correctly,btu eventually it just came naturally.
    For tagalog I have help from my friends IRL and family
    for japanese I had the other side of my family
    for hawaiian, well, the filipino side is also hawaiian so I got help for that too.
    but the thing is, its good to know someone who speaks the language so they can assist you with pronunciations.
