Help with UTAUloid singing anything under C4?

I've tried getting my UTAUloid to sing Love is War and Last Night Good Night, and the UST has the syllables under the C3 section.

And they sound really bad. As if someone's trying to sing while having strep throat or something.

I tried it with other UTAULoids, like Nami Utaune to see if it's just my UTAUloid, but when I played her, she didn't sound like in:



How can I have my UTAUloid sing low notes without sounding like she's got a cough? I've moved it up to C4 but she just sounds off-key when I add the bg music.

First thing I'd do is check where the R note at the very start is at C3, then I do Ctrl+A and click-drag the R note to C4. You only have to match the letters up to make sure it'll be in key:

A#3 -> A#4
C4 -> C3

like that. There are 12 pitch-thingies in an octave, so another way to change octaves is to count to 12 while clicking and dragging all the notes up/down an octave.

Also, C3 is the natural singing octave for male UTAUs, C4 for females. So if your UTAU's a girl, of course she'd sound like she's got a frog in her throat xDD

There is an easier way. Go to "Edit" (or the second tab from the left), then down to Move Region down by Number (the 12th choice down in that tab) and a box will come up. Type in 12, and it will move an octave up.
