VCV Testing- please come and listen!

I'mma post all my VCV related stuff here. Hayao or otherwise.
But for now;

Hayao- Rolling girl
He magically had all the phonemes recorded for this.
And I adore this song.
And yeah.
Um.
I really want C&C on this PLEAAAASE.
D: I know the end is dead, it stopped rendering halfway though the "ma" x__x I'm re-mixing it before I put it up on youtube...

Kenji- Reimei Anpurifa
This was experimenting with FL studio for mixing...
I hate it. But it has nice effects... so I added the effects to the voice and exported out of the program.
xD If anyone can tell me how to mix without things muffling other parts of sound that overlap, please tell me. It's really annoying.

Hayao's start wih Rolling Girl is quite... strange. But he sounds good after that!

I personally can't hear it (oddly enough xD)... Um. I assume its in the first phrase, can you point out the weird part in more detail or...?

It's the first sound he makes. He's like... You know the sound Goofy makes? That's the best way to describe it. It's an A-hyuk. Or something like that.

It's seriously only the first one, the other things sound great!

...um like the above. He does start out a bit wierd, but other than that....I can tell the improvement! The recordings sound a lot better, and clearer too! And yeah, that is a stroke of luck that he has exactly all of the phonemes needed.
As for kenji, what parts did you add effects? The parts where vocals overlap?

Hmm, maybe the weird sound in the beginning is the UST? It sounds more like a really intense pitch bend than anything else. After that, though, he sounds absolutely wonderful. <3 And ;alkfsjd KENJI~ He sounds so amazing! I can't wait to see the cover art for this song, that's a really cool picture!

Honestly, his VCVs sound better than this now but w/e.

He definetely sounds better!

The first sound is still weird, but it's in the UST, I just figured that out... So yeah, no other comment...

Ah, that's a lot better. ^^ Skyisland's ust is great for Rolling Girl, it really is. ^^

EDITEDITEDIT: I'm looking forward to seeing the cover art you're making for Kenji's cover of that song. =)

It sounds to me like his vowels are kinda softer, like his "i's", but maybe that's just the UST....The beginning sounds more normal now. Not like an overdone pitchbend...

:'C I can't really think of a particular place where his vowels would be softer ( I converted a lot of the CV --> Vowel transitions to pitch bends instead).

Is it a bad thing or a good thing or just something you noticed?

Made VCV!Hayao sing some of my edit of Tautology. I just found it lying around yesterday so XD Basically it's Renis UST with a bunch of pitch bends and vibrato.

The song wasn't meant to have lots of pitch-bends....
Uh... So at points, the pitch-bends make him sound like he's dying, or in pain, usually at the beginning of a note.

I know, it works better when you haven't heard the original song ^^;;

It's because I put in a lot of Rin/Len type pitch bends.
...Didn't think he sounded like he was dying, though. Is it really that horrendous?

I'm not hearing any issue. He just sounds more emotive, and the pitch bends aren't that dramatic. :/

I'm only good at recognizing pitches at night and singing at day. WTF.
However, some of them DO sound... strange.
At the beginning of "Tsukino hikari..." "Tsu" sounds kinda odd.
And in the middle of the last line he sings, "to" sounds rather odd as well.

...I'm remaking Kenji's Tautology. Now I can't stand unoriginality due to Zeny and Skyisland's pitchbends on his usts, so I'm gonna do a bit of tricks on it, see what I turn up with.

The tsu has a rather... odd pitch bend on it. This is an old UST edit that I just slapped Hayaos new VCVs on XD

Don't hear anything wrong with the to. *shrugs*
