There is one more function I can think of. In the oto.ini files you can replace the ,,,,, with something like 10,35,20,20,10 The purpose of doing this would be to give initial values that are easy to modify. When UTAU generates an oto file it just makes the text entry of ,,,,, and the graphical editor basically displays this as having an offset, consonant, preutterane, overlap and cutoff of zero. Cutoff is at the end of thie file, but everything else is right on top of eah other at the beginning. This means that you have to manually seperate everything for every sample if you like to edit them on the graphic interface. This is painful for 170+ sample voicebanks and I have found using the initial values above to make the process a lot easier.

Strong work.

I considered this, but when your settings are nowhere near something like that (as in the case of Hana) or when you don't even need settings at all (as in the case of many voicebanks recorded by OREMO), it could actually be more painful to drag prerecorded settings. Especially when UTAU usually is able to figure out top/end of data by itself.
Oh, and version 3.2 updated. This version is most important, since it fixes a bug in the romaji-to-hiragana aliaser.

Hi, I've tried to use this forwards and backwards, left to right, upside down and loopdeloop'd, and I could not get this to work. I reinstalled Java twice.
I use windows 7, I've read the instructions over and over, and cannot, for the life of me, get this to work.
Can anyone help me?

You say this could be uneeded and annoying BUT
VCVs. It's hell changing the settings for... VCVs. I actually REALLY need it right now, since the oto's I used for the bank don't fit the recordings.
I have to change it (everytime I do an oto) from *insertnumber*,500,-777.777,333.333,111.111 to *insertnumber*,300,-450,222,111.
AKA, I really need this function to make VCVs sound better... Without giving up because it's stupid.
...If you implemented this, I could whizz through VCVs that needed custom settings, Aster. ; A; I'd love you forever.
...pleasethinkaboutitforVCVs?
Since all the samples in a VCV bank have the same Pre-utt, overlap and end cut off settings, it would be really useful XD You wouldn't have to change any of that around.

I would like to do that, but the problem is that since I use a general search-and-replace algorithm, one would have to blank all of the settings to do that (because once the settings are in, you cannot change them).

Hm, Search and replace...
So there's no way you could have the user be able to enter the settings you need to replace?
(Like, if I open my oto settings in notepad, set it to change all the "500,-777/777,333.333,111.111"s in the notepad file?
I'd be willing to blank it out if necessary, though.

Sadly, I can't do that - the only thing I can do is put in preset settings (which will only make your day worse).

*cries*
There's a way to do it, just not like this...
Goddamn. XD I might have to dabble in scripts and coding today to try and find a way to batch change these files.

Maybe I misunderstood, but you want to change every instance of "500,-777.777,333.333,111.111" to "300,-450,222,111", right? You can do that with the 'replace all' in MS Word.

I've tried those and it won't work at all, I follow every single inctrution in the readmes of both the ust convert and the Voicebank Aliser. I use Windows Vista and the 3.6 version.

I hope it will work properly.

Just saying "I tried everything and it won't work" to me doesn't help.
I need to know exactly what you're doing because you could be doing it wrong - this is a bug report, so please be detailed.
Also, VB aliaser does not work if the VB already has aliases.

I'm using the latest version. I have tried with a few different viocebanks, and a few .USTs. I have tried with Teto, Ruko, and Sayu. I drag the .oto file there, run the romaji thing, and put the .oto file back in the voicebank folder; all the steps listed in the instructions. WHen I test it in UTAU, nothing.
You said it won't work is the voice already has aliases? Does that mean I delete them? How?
The .ust one does not work for me either. I follow the directions, rename it to "convert.ust" run the file, etc etc, and still does not convert.

Does your computer show file endings? If not, you rename it to just "convert".
Teto, Ruko, and Sayu indeed already have aliases, and it is impossible for their voicebanks to work without them (since they use diphone, triphone, etc.) In that case you will just have to continue using the UST converter for it.

Well I tried following the instructions.
my VB was Hiraganized (about 1/3 of it), so I deleted the hiragana aliases.
I move my oto.ini file to the converter folder and run it, then I move it back...but it's still the same.
oh well I can just copy and paste the hiragana in the note pad.

SERIOUSLY.
Just going "I tried it and it didn't work" doesn't help me at all.
The ra/ri bug will be fixed, I promise.
Is your oto.ini in the SAME FOLDER as the file you're running?
