File Missing (???? Bad File name) and Subscript Errors?

Post by SotoneMayo on Sun Sep 19, 2010 1:47 am

I have several errors on my UTAU program. It's version 2.76, according to the website.

So I'm going to explain with screenshots:

When I open UTAU (Using Applocale on Vista) it comes up with this error:

So then I click ok and it comes up with UTAU. Notice I translated the GUI to English; rest assured the issue happened even when it was in Japanese.

I have already made an UTAU, so I clicked this thinking I could add a picture,

Then it comes up with this (but didn't do this earlier, see below caption):

A little earlier today, if I clicked "sample", it would play a random syllable (presumably my UTAU? I have no clue). But now, it does this:

I also read some previous issues were ties to Hiragana Voicebanks, so I changed mine to Romaji. I wonder if that was the issue? I did go in and re-import my UTAU...
Also, I have installed some zip files from other versions (some people said it would help if I use 2.72, 2.73, etc.) and it didn't work. Actually, now that I think about it, I could have caused more problems by doing so.

Anyways, down to the lyrics. I wanted to test my UTAU, so I typed in a syllable ("a"), added it, and clicked play. An error popped up and disappeared. The best screenshot I can get is this:

I have checked my UTAU's Voicebank files and they're still there and they work, so it's not that my .WAV files have corrupted...I don't think.

I've been thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling UTAU, but when I go to Control Panel> Unistall Programs> UTAU, it starts Windows installer in Japanese and then asks for permission from an Unknown Publisher for updates (1.0.something). This happened before GUI changes and Applocale as well.

Please help, I don't know what else to do Neutral

    ...um...well, you're checking the samples and stuff of Defoko's voicebank, not yours...XDD;

I feel really dumb at the moment.

Ok, so then...how do I change voice banks? I've looked this up and still haven't figured out how to change.

well first, file not found usually means you have a corrupt file in the bank, or the image you have in the bank's character file is wrong. ouob
maybe thats why her image isnt showing up.

I understand that Defoko's bank doesn't work because it's in Hiragana... when I was saying I checked the voicebank I mean the syllables I recorded myself and imported. But I haven't added her picture yet (Does Defoko have one?)

Maybe it's all because I'm using Defoko that all these issues are happening? Do you know how to change banks so I can see if they still happen with my UTAU?

...Or maybe I'm misunderstanding everything you said.

Ok, to change voice banks, double click on the gray square that says "Default" up there at the top, under the gray box you pointed out earlier. A Project Settings box should show up, and next to Voicebank it'll have a dropdown menu of all the UTAUs you have loaded. Yours will say something in kana. Just select your UTAU in the dropdown menu and you're set. ouo

I hope that made sense without pictures. OTL

Thanks, I was able to get her voice changed. But I still have a problem!

    Here we go again...
You can see I'm using my UTAU now. So here's what happens when I click play:

First this, then a command prompt:

And when I close the command prompt I get this:

    So...it wasn't just Defoko then, I suppose.

Oh no, that's totally normal. It should play your sound after that black box comes up.

It doesn't seem to be playing, though.

EDIT: Wait, nevermind. Does it always take a while before it plays?

Well, it might have needed to generate the frequency the first time, but it shouldn't take too long now that that's done. ouo
