    Well, this came up because I'm recording a set of female VCVs (because my female CVs sound wierd).

    You may not ever hear her.
    BUT WOW.

    So I use rolled rs for Hayao, because in my opinion, they sound sexy on guys.

    I can pronounce the Japanese r perfectly fine, however, so I was recording her r sets normally...

    Then I got to "rorunranru".

    I cannot for the life of me say "nra" properly.
    Like, really. It turns into "na" or "n -rolled r-".
    Why. OTL

    Your turn.

    None in special, 'cause Japanese and Spanish pronunciations are almost the same. Razz
    I have some troubles recording English, though. It's not my native language and we (Chileans) have a very bad pronunciation comparating with other Spanish-speaking countries XD

    Oh my gosh, me neither! I tried for a while and the best I could do was sort of an "n da". ;___;

    Also, on every single voicebank I record ever, the "wa" sound is just SO WEIRD. I have no idea why. XD;;

    ru for me always sounds horrible. It's like "DUUUUUUUU!". Also, m's and s's are over-exaggerated in my samples.

    I'm going to try and have my consonants softer in Kaen Act III. Maybe it'll sound smoother that way.

    I haven't had this problem with recording, because I've yet to attempt VCV's, but I was singing a song one day until the lyrics got to "Goenryo shimasu".

    I settled with something like "goenyo" and gave up. OTL

    ...In japanese/korean-- R after N is pronounced the "L way" EVE

    ..The "proper" way to say Korean and Japanese R sounds like an L. ...However, when people talk, they get lazy and some people pronounce it as a soft rolled R-thing. (It's still pronounced with the tongue the same way, just 'quicker' basically.)
    (For example, Teto's Renzoku Rs = lazy Rs)

    There's prolly an "easy way" to pronounce it that I'm missing out on.

    Isn't rw supposed to be the attempt at the english r? I thought I saw some discussion about that.

    I have problems with R's too orz
    Italian has trilled R (or rolled, if you want), so it SHOULD be easy for me, but it's actually not. X_x
    It seems I can do a softer R (still trilled, but weak enough to be acceptable) if it's in the middle of the words, but not at the beginning. And at the beginning I roll them like mad Dx So my samples are all too rolled and if I try not to roll it, something weird comes out XD;
    And between all the R sounds, 'ru' is the worst. Last time I tried to record it was still like 'RRRRuuu' despite my attempts to say it quick Dx

    Need to practice more with it x_x

    And I still haven't tried English and VCV <.<
    "rorunranru" is indeed a nightmare to say XD *is trying*

    R's Everytime even when I try to do Rolled r's. they sound.. so English it burns.
    Which is why Siana will always have L's instead.. I just can't seem to get my r's to sound unenglish.

    and anything with an Sh attached to it, because of my lisp. >_<

    I apparently have a lot of problems with just common letters. Most surprisingly, M's and N's.

    It seems to be a common Swedish thing, but I make stupid amounts of clicking sounds with my tongue when I speak. It's a pain to stop doing it for recording.

    The sh sounds sound terrible for me... But that can be that I didn't know what I was doing when I recorded it XD

    And I can't say R, which isn't a swedish thing, I just can't pronuce it (I said L when I was little) now it's some kind of fake R, so I need to stay with that. But I think my fake R is pretty similar to the japanese one xD

    I know my "tsu"(つ) is horrible. I had to re-record it a lot of times.
    I was like "tssssu" and with this sample you can't cut the start in the oto like "sssu" because the t is there, uh.

    Another thing is I'm probably doing a lot of other samples wrong and I don't know they are... but this isn't in the topic theme.

    I have problems with the 'r' sounds, of course, because I don't know if/when I do them correctly...

    And, the hya/hyu/hyo/hye... for some reason I just don't like them.

    And the u an i sounds, without consonants, always sounds weird to me >.<

    I have the same problem with nra and nr samples, even though I can pronounce a Japanese r fine too.

    I also can't and have never been able to roll my rs XD Which is too bad, since I love how they sound.

    "tsu" is a lie. It's more like a cross between "tu" and "su". Like...

    When you say "tu", your tongue hits the front of your mouth. "tsu" is when you have your tongue lazily glide instead of hit full-on.

    If you have issues with "rya", then your rs are wrong.

    ...People who speak Spanish have quite an advantage, since their "r" is similar to the Japanese/Korean r.
