"Special" Voicebank Creation?

Do you do anything "Special" like change your voice or add an accent?

Or even something as simple as editing it?

With Kane I just made my voice go as high as I possibly could while staying at one note.

My Jewel was made solely from A I E O U
I used the SAME vowel files for EVERY note, while adding on separate constanents.
So each set only has 6 or so sound files.
This was done to make it sound "Broken" because it's a broken doll I made for Halloween.(I released it a while later, but hey, who cares)

I also TRIED to add vibrato to my voice nautraly, but it was smoother than my real voice >(

Also, I feel my Chimpy (who I need to give more love to) also qualifies as such because of his immense voice bank of 6 sound files. a i e (sounded as ee) u o (sounded as oo) and Ah
I made myself sound kinda like a monkey :D
He will also start screeching soon.

And my OLDEST one (Jo Nyan) I just made cute sounds that remotely resemble Japanese phonemes.

I think if you make multiple UTAU this is almost a requirement. XD; Like, you can't really expect to record exactly the same way, pitch the clips in either direction and then MAGICAL NEW UTAU-TAN GO~~

Like Hayari was recorded kind of with my natural voice, but I was cutesier in speak and pitched the clips up a little bit -- Kasui, I sung as DEEPLY as I possibly could and omg do not do that a lot because it hurts XD; But I did that and then pitched a butt ton. XDDD His s sounds are also different, along with his r's (rolled woo XD)

My third UTAU, TATARI, I'm gonna record with a HUGE nasal and l r's XDDD

So yeah, I think differentiating your voice will give your UTAU a unique sound as well *u*

I just change my voice , no editing of course xD; Sometimes, I add an accent.

I recorded my AU-loids using different tones, ie - Kii is my normal voice, Fuyu is my loud/strong voice, Kitsu is my soft/mature voice, Lilith is my high/soft/loli voice, Viai is my brash voice, Naoto is my sorta-odd voice, Lock is my low/MANLY voice, and Ran is my childish/cute voice.
You can even hear the different ways the AU-loids pronounce their Cs and Vs.

Well, Yuugi is obviously voice acted. I don't have a voice like that in real life. I just lowered to my limit (before it started to hurt) and recorded like that.

I have an airy voice in real life, I didn't need to add extra breathiness to it.

I recorded Nanami to sing on high notes(In real life,I can't sing on high notes).I used my normal voice to Anne,a breathy voice to Taru,etc etc.And all of my UTAUs have L,we,wi and wu sounds.

I just add an accent and a power boost. Basically,it sounds like Ritsu's way of recording. c:

Shizu was my screaming/singing voice...Aroku is my normal speaking tone.
GHOST(unreleased) was me pitched down like by 20...and some weird enunciation stuff....
I'm thinking of making a nasal-loid too... Idk yet, since I'm kinda natually nasaly... Orz

oh, there was a VB that I recorded using a scratchy burping like noise, though I somehow lost it....

I just recorded one that was SUPPOSED to be Azure's first append in a weeaboo accent. (Before you ask, I was calling it Append DESU.)

For Fuko, I just pitched my voice a lot. For Cecile, I pitched my voice down. Cell Asilo, I just used my voice as the lowest it can go. I'm doing an alien UTAU voiced by either my friend or my mom--I'm probably going to put a lot of effects on that! :D

I just... use other peoples' voices /shot
whenever a friend comes around I chain them to the microphone and steal their voice :B

Kata is more like...my speaking voice....that's all :U

act 1/act2 was a high tone
ac3 is lower then my speaking voice

Sabii:
she sort of went will a soft low tone ( i think )

Fureddo:
he was trying to hard to not sound shota, so his voice is a bit raspy....

Aline is my singing voice in a lower pitch than it normally is (well, in most notes).

I was going to make Aline Tough, and she was going to be my shoutspeaking voice, but some software issues made it pretty much dfficult from now on. OTL

What kind of issues?

So :


Sakanne = a mix between my speaking and my singing voice, I used an energetic and light-boyish tone

Albine = I imitated the voice I imagined for Shira (even if it sounds a little more mature than her) with a sweet, shy and high tone

Sakura Cerise = Like Sakanne, but more chibish, childish and overexcited

Rose Bara = My usual singing voice

Lavande = airy and I used medium/low notes of my singing voice

Kotoko = I used medium/low notes of my singing voice, I tried to imitate Minto Aizawa's accent and the sound of the harp

Sabine = I used my usual "speaking" / true voice n_n" (yeah, my voice is naturally boyish, rough and excited unlike my sweet and high singing voice x.x" )

Woyane (Yaku) = my speaking voice with a higher tone (because I imagined Yaku's voice womanlier than Sabine) and I tried to imitate Barney Calhoun's accent (some of the original version, and some of the French version)



And finally, about my other Utaus :

Kei Den = I'm trying to use my speaking voice with low and airy voice x_x"

Olive = I'm trying to use my speaking voice with a mature and womanly tone, and with an accent half-opera half-pop music-like (like I imagined for my mermaid Olive)

Iris = I'm trying to use my singing voice (or at least, my speaking usual-true voice) with mature, joy and airy tone

Victoire = I'm trying to use my singing's low notes and I'm tying to add Lina Toin's or other character-like's accent
