    An MMD model.
    I have blender, but I cant find any tutorials I understand. The ones I have found are all text walls. I'm a visual person... orz

    Also, do I HAVE to have PMD editor?

    If you ever make a model it's best to use metasequoia first. It's got a very uncomplicated interface unlike blender.
    Also
    3DCG is icky
    very icky because the boobs fly all over the place JUST FORGET IT IF YOUR TRYING TO MAKE A MALE MODEL FROM 3DCG it's probally the hardest thing to edit, ever.
    Most of all it wasn't made for MMD like some people want to believe.
    It's a hentai game,
    thats what it's made for.
    Now coming from a person who basically knows a lot with PMD editor and MMD.
    Use Animasa
    or Naoka
    or some other model making that allows editing.
    ALSO
    always delete bones/physics that you don't need when exporing parts.
    can't seam to say that enough OTL
    and you can always go on VO or me and ask if one of us could fill your request :3
    and if I came off mean I'm sorry if I did OTL
    it's just when doing anything with MMD it can't be fun with out a troll on your ass about it.

    It's a hentai game but it's censored.
    And Neko, Hana, and Stella came out fine.

    And many many good models came out of it. Easier than metasequoia or blender in any case.

    Aster- but thats 3DCG parts.
    I'm talking taking the 3DCG model and using that as a base
    like uhhh the seji shikine model as a example.
    but then again thats just my opinion.

    ... OK... Well, if it's a hentai I DEFIANTLY can't use it.

    MMD is on my parent's compie and I don't have my own yet :c

    I would ask someone... But at the same time I kinda want to try on my own... Then again... Kane's plug tail will be annoying...

    Spores, Hana and Stella's models are entirely from 3DCG.

    It's a hentai game but like I said it's censored, so unless you activate the pose functions AND go to the extra work to get the uncensor patch, you're fine.

    I use Blender but just because it's the freeware option.

    But Blender is not easy to use at all! I needed like 2 weeks just to understand to make the easiest thing.

    And yes, you may need PMD Editor.

    I need PMD editor because the normal armatures of blender are just all the same... "circle point" bones in MMD and you need a "square point" bone. IK I think it's called (the computer I can use is like 170km from here. Sorry for not giving names).
    You may need it to rename the bones so they fit the normal MMD structure, too. But this point is doable in blender in Japanese locale, too.


    If you're not discouraged enough then take in count that's the easiest step. Blender needs a pair of things to really start to work and they're kinda advanced stuff...

    You'll need Python 2.6.2, too. Not an older or newer version. Because that's the only version that
    blender2pmd can use (oh, and you need the newest blender).

    blender2pmd is a plugin for blender that imports/exports the pmd files for MMD that you also need.

    Once you have blender and phyton, you must be sure the PATH for python is set correctly. This may help you, but it's very text heavy and not low level at all. Take in count you'll also have to change the directories to your Python version.


    Once you have Python installed, with the PATH set and with blender2pmd in the blender plugins folder then you can import and export pmd files, the ones usabble by MMD.

    You need to run blender in Japanese locale if you plan on importing models as the Japanese names of the bones can't be imported otherwise. But if you only want to export then it's not really needed.


    Now you have to make your models. I found that for a model to work in pmd exporter you need it to have an armature (bones) well defined.

    I can't help you much else right now but these may be the starting points to start your own model from zero with blender.
    There is a pair of very good tutorials in vocaloidism forums about MMD modeling... but my bookmarks are in the other computer, uh. They may be around here.

    Hmm, maybe I'll try to make a tutorial about blender and MMD this winter vacations with screenshots and stuff. But not right now, sorry for not being more helpful.

    Once I can get to my good computer (not soon, sorry) I'll try to make a tutorial with screens and step by step... but it's still going to be really complicated, yes.

    If you still have the will to take the "pro" way then I think you could try already to make the character in blender. We'll take the exporting part later with that tutorial.

    For making your own character in blender http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro is an awesome tutorial.
    The part "Modeling a simple person" is really what you want, but check the previous steps to know the basics, too.
