I'm such a noob when it comes to Japanese since I only know a few words. I looked on a name site when I tried to pick a name for Aya when I first started to design her in engineering class. Her name was originally Kasumi Aya (all kanji). I forgot what Kasumi meant, but Aya meant "colour" or "design" (according to the naming site anyway). Well, I figured that it fit since it was engineering class .__.
But when I decided to make Aya an UTAU, I wanted to keep her first name, but change her surname. Well I took "sumi", which was supposed to mean "clear" (again, according to the naming site xD) and put "ne" after it, making "Sumine" ("clear sound") and then I just spelled Aya with hiragana instead of kanji ._. so Sumine is in kanji and Aya is in hiragana.
澄音あや
^ is what it looks like now. I was hoping it would be okay, but I'm not so sure now ^^;

But that would be incorrect-ish for a name... ish because it's UTAU after all .-.

Actually, not really. Hiragana can be used when she wants to pass a childish impression to her character. But then again, I think the surname should be in hiragana as well... I dunno.

(Yuugi Hakune) 拍音ユウギ
Haku (拍) in this case pertains to beat/tempo. Since the voicebank suits fastpaced music, this one should fit.
