Music from your country?

Which singer/band do you like from your country? :D

My favorite are Chancho en Piedra (<3), Los Prisioneros, Sinergia, Los Tres, Los Bunkers, Primavera de Praga, La Ley, Funk Shop (they come from my city! lol)
I love any kind of rock :D

America has to many singers for me to pick just a few.
I love the old jazz sounds like Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, ect.

UGH. I hate american music. But my favorite band is Owl City, cause it sounds like Vocaloid. :D

Other than him, umm... well, a lot of the bands I like are British or Irish (Muse, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, U2, Radiohead, Coldplay) but I love Jimi Hendrix, The Mars Volta, Incubus, Steely Dan, Santana, and... um, Lady Gaga. =D;;

e.e I don't like German music that much. I don't listen to specific bands, but some songs are okay... For some time, after that they get annoying. I mostly hear Japanese and American music~

I like a wide variety of music. It transfers from Pop, to Hip-Hop, to smooth jazz, to rock... XD

Indeed =D I love a good number of bands from here, means the concert tickets are normally relatively cheep, as you can get them at smaller places rather than at the massive stadiums (and I like it at a smaller venues anyway =D)


Seriously, am I the only person here who doesn't love love love Japanese music (I'm in the wrong place really aren't I?) I mean, I like some of it, but, quite alot is just ... meh ... pretty average. I'd much rather listen to stuff I can understand ¬__¬

FFFFF I think I actually like more British bands than American bands. XD;; It just kinda worked out that way, so many of the really good classic rock bands are from the UK. Pink Floyyyyd~ <3Plus they have cool accents~ You're so lucky, Pixie, tickets here are so expensive sometimes. T__T

I don't like KYUUUU~NSUPERKAWAIISUGARDESU Japanese music (most of it sounds the same to me), but I do like Ali Project, Nashimoto-P's songs, and more J-Rock type stuff. Really, I think Japanese music now is a lot like western music, there just seems to be a little more focus on the melody (some of it kind of sounds more... I dunno, theatrical?) as opposed to the beat. I dunno, maybe it's just what I've been listening to. And Japanese sounds a little better than English when sung, IMO, probably because it's so vowel-y. But I do like being able to understand the lyrics, songs can be REALLY hard to translate properly.

So yeah. They've both got their own merits and I love them both equally. <3 Sorry for the wall of text, I kind of get carried away when I'm talking about music. XD;;

I just like some songs...but all them sound like the same thing, I think D:
I prefer A LOT the music of my country. And English songs too. At least I can understand the lyrics, lol

My non japanese tastes tend to lie with sremo and post hardcore and death metal
and stuff... lol

From Korea, my favorite solo artist is Younha. (Yes, she's from Korea~ >:'C fsk fsk) And my favorite group is Eve. (Lol, they're really old though, and I don't think they're even a group anymore, kuu;

In America, my favorite solo artist is Lady Gaga, I like her music, but she's really creepy now compared to when she first started, ahahaha;;;
And I can't think of any american group I like, lol;

Well, it seems like. But I don't know any person that likes Tokio Hotel xD Only persons who used to like them, but not anymore. I personally hate them.
