UMM, PUT THIS IN THE CORRECT FORUM PLEASE. I don't actually know where this goes, but anyway...

I'm thinking of creating a video for people who are thinking of getting a new computer or AntiVirus/Spyware, but aren't sure what they should get. I've been thinking about it since a few days ago, and I'm such a wiz about comps. I've already gotten some info here:

    Computers:
    - If you want to upgrade your XP or Vista to a 7, your computer is going to end up pretty slow anyway, because of the drives built-in speed, so just get a new drive, you don't always need a new screen, only if you want to.
    - The best three PC builders are Dell, HP and Acer. If you're looking at a COMPAQ, move on, because they aren't that great.
    - The recommended minimum of RAM is 2GB, but if you're an avid gamer, I recommend one with 4GB RAM or more. Also, any overall computer speeds over 2.5GHz are good speeds for anything.
    - If you want a good processor, go for Intel duo cores. Intel 2 and i3 are pretty good and modern.
    - These days, you can get hard Drive space from 500GB to 1TB. Don't get a whole TB of space, you can get an external Hard Drive later on with 1.5TB of space.
    - If you're gonna get a Windows 7 Ultimate, with 8GB of RAM, 1TB of space, Intel i3 Duo Core processor and 3 GHz of memory, you're wasting over $1000 there. Just get something like the new Acer Hard Drive I got yesterday:
    Acer Aspire X1800
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E7500
    RAM: 4 GB DDR2 memory
    HDD: 640 GB HDD
    OPTICAL: DVD-Super Multi drive
VIDEO: ATi Radeon HD 4350 512MB
    LAN: Integrated LAN 10/100/1000
MODEM: None (That's where your internet comes in)
^This cost me around $750 and is a pretty reasonable sounding computer.
    - Don't worry, if you loathe Windows so much, there's always Mac and Linux.

    Antivirus/Antispyware:
    - AVG, Norton and Symantec Antivirus are rated the worst Antiviruses you can have on your computer. Not a lot of people are nuts about McAfee either.
    - The best are Kaspersky, Trend Micro, Avast! and ESET. You can buy three of them at the store, or download Avast! for free, and register it for a year.
    - With AntiViruses, you need AntiSpyware to accompany it, because AVs don't get everything. I suggest Malwarebytes' and Spybot Search & Destroy. They go very well together.
    - Also, there is a multitasker, named Fix-It Utilities. It optimizes, scans, cleans up registry and all that what-not.

If you guys have more info, post them up! I'd also like some background music to go with the video as well!
