    Experiences with Japanese UTAU Users? Empty Experiences with Japanese UTAU Users?

    Post by suthethird Sat May 08, 2010 6:48 pm

    I send emails and PMs to Japanese users all the time o3o

    I get confused when you say that Nicochus are mean, 'cause when you email a Japanese user, they're really, really nice. (Especially when you try and talk to them in Japanese!) (Granted, I NEVER post on Nico.)

    I've talked to one over pixiv (he drew me a picture of LOKE :'D ), four over email (Two used Anaka, one promised to use her, and one just told me where an off vocal was), two over YT PM system (One used Anaka, and one helped me with her), one over twitter, and Kanipan over PMs (Yes, I flipped when she replied :'D ).

    I just recently started sending emails in my really remedial Japanese 8D They reply in English, which is really nice of them c:

    Am I the only one who stalks Japanese UTAU users this much :c ?

    Actually, I don't have personal experience, some can come across as mean, I guess it all gets 'lost in translation' literally. unless you are a fluent speaker in Japanese they might be a little snippy or appear it.

    I don't think anybody said that the people at nicovideo are mean. .A.;;;

    It's just that it's more likely to get trolled there than youtube because of the anonymity of the posting system nico has. *^*

    Well, some Nico users can be complete jerks (being Japanese or not), but the majority seems to be nice and well humored.

    I've tried speaking to Japanese users in multiple occasions, specially the ones who upload in YT as well. I try to use simple English sentences, as I'm aware a good amount of Japanese users aren't good with such language. I just don't speak too much because I'm a shypants and don't want to look like a creeper *Doesn't speak a lot to mx due to the same reason* >///<

    Most of the Japanese users who know me are from Twitter, though XD *Follows Japanese users at Aline's RPish Twitter to check out any tips and songs they might recommend, just like she does with overseas users*

    I'm terrified of google translate and I'm super uncomfortable with talking to people through a language barrier.

    I really want to ask LUC+ for a VSQ and karaoke of one of his songs, but I just can't bring myself to do it ;____;

    The only person I'm comfortable with is probably KarinhiiragimothraP, who has a basic understanding of English and is really happy with feedback.

    In my case, I just have no idea how to even get in contact with them.

    I stalked out the blog of a not-too-popular Japanese UTAU I really loved because his VB wasn't posted anywhere :< I tried to ask the creator about it in Japanese, but thankfully they replied in broken English 8'D They were extremely friendly and polite and were more than pleased to send his voice to me :3
    That's the only time I've had the balls to ask them anything :<
