    VCV question Empty VCV question

Post by Kinu Sun May 23, 2010 8:11 am

uh..so I kinda wanted to do some VCV's for my utau. I watched tutorials online and recorded those "aeiou" and other stuffs. I've also duplicated them and split them up with the oto.ini.

Question is, how can I test if it actually works? does it give you the effect automatically or is there another process to be done? Shocked

Once they are configured, get a UST that's in mode 2.
    Clear overlap, preutterance, and STP.
Remember the names of the divided up things and write those names into the blanks in the UST. It should fit the overlap and preutterance to it. Play them, and you should hear some nice new triphones c:

    Hope I helped ^^ !

(If you have a full bank done, all you have to do is clear all that stuff, (remove prefix via suffix broker if it's VCV), use CV to VCV pluggin, and then play :'D )

Gosh, I think all that made my nose bleed. drunken Thank you. I guess I really have a lot to learn then..gotta look up more tutorials in youtube. But which do you recommend, OREMO or Audacity? I heard that you can work faster with OREMO, but do they give the same effect? Question

Oh, definitely use OREMO, it will make your life sooo much easier. ^__^ The list is right there, it saves the files for you, and names them and everything.

As for the overlap and STP and everything, it's a lot less confusing than it sounds.

    Spoiler:

    Hope that helps! ^__^

Only use OREMO if you do not care about the quality of recordings. UTAUs recorded in OREMO are much smoother because their voices are, well, kind of muffled by the kind of poor quality. If you're going for a soft voice, OREMO is the best.
If you're going for a high quality voice, I suggest something like REAPER or Garageband.
