    Tablet Information? Empty Tablet Information?

    Post by MichiSuzune Mon May 31, 2010 6:07 pm

    ...XD Not sure if this goes here or not, but meh...

    My stepdad said I could get one this weekend if I was good~ *u*

    So, I had a question for tablet users:

    If you used a mouse previously, how long did it take to get used to it? o3o

    Umm.. uh... xD Any other information/advice would be nice. I know for a fact what I want to get if I end up getting one, and it only costs $79.99! From the looks of the reviews on Future Shop's website, it looks pretty good quality, too~ >w<

    Thanks, everyone!

    It took me a couple months of constant use to actually be able to draw WELL with a tablet.

    It could take a year or so to be fully capable though^^

    (unless you adapt quick or something O_O)

    It took me a few weeks to be able to draw well with it, but it varies for everyone. ^^

    I see. Well, I guess I'll have to be patient then! XD

    ...not really like I have a choice since my parents went and lost one of the scanner cords when we moved >_>;

    I tell this to everyone looking into a tablet:

    Make sure you have the basics down on paper first. Nothing beats paper and pencils for learning the basics. Once you feel good enough with paper, then move onto a tablet.

    Depending on how much you'll use it and how good you are adapting, the tablet should take several months to a year of consistent usage to get used to.

    Thanks for the advice :3 But I'm fairly confident in my drawing skills... I think XD

    I'll be sure to use it and practice a lot, since one of the agreements to me getting one is cutting down on my doodling in school!

    8D By the way, I has a dA~

    Contstructive crit? oAo;;

    Um...I would use less saturated colors. Color theory is good! This helped me: tomato-apple. X3
    And I would try drawing stuff from a bunch of different angles! X_X Even ones you're not used to drawing. Weird angles = interesting art.

    I hope that I was helpful!

    I think that your art is over-all very cute and a nice style^^

    The only thing I'd suggest working on a little is the size of hands. You just have to be a little more careful to make sure they're proportionate, 'kay? :3
