When you made your UTAU(s)

I recorded... quit... recorded again... quit...
And then finally I recorded the voicebank for Amilia I have now.
(Now I'm working on an ACT2... I recorded, but quit... I sense a pattern)

Aw. When I made Rion it was very much A, since I'd only just downloaded UTAU and when looking for voicebanks I found a tutorial on how to make one, and so I just grabbed my mic and recorded XD And I was really lucky that everything worked and I ended up with a decent sounding voicebank.

Well when I made Kira....I was Friggin busy!!!...thats why I answered B.

For me, I had already come up with a character that I just used for fun stuff. And she already had a voice....sort of

(I made up a voice for her when I made her as a desktop buddy.....THAT I JUST REALIZED I LOST OH unripe doo-doo covered banana ;A;)

Then I found out about UTAU, watched lots of tutorials, and recorded her^^

and B happens when I'm making CN-L4 lopho...I don't have many free time orz

I would've picked B but it didn't go that way xD

First I was brainstorming because I wanted an absolute original character not based on my other original characters. That took a while. Then I tested out UTAU for a while to get the hang of it before I made Kirin's act1 It took 6 hours to make Kirin's act1 one Saturday o_o

The first time I recorded, I oto'd badly, and Kenji magically became unusable. So he died. Once.
Then I was all "YOU KNOW WHAT" 3 months later, and I swiped Suiga Sora's triphones list, added some stuff, and then began recording. The entire thing. In about 3 hours.
I oto'd the diphonic part in an hour, (badly at that, but not badly enough to disable). Then the triphonics were spaced out between many many months. Took forever too, and those who managed to hear bits and pieces of it were impressed, and I built an ego. I finished it just before Christmas, but didn't alias until January... I think. Then I released Kenji's triphonic bank.

Hmmm...well my UTAU's still in making mode,so I'll hardly answer this.
But I know one thing for sure:It took me a year to decide on my UTAU.
First It was going to be a Vocaloid fanmade.Then I decided it to be an UTAU,but then i knew airooskwjjeNOTHING about UTAU so yeah...with like 5 months sleep,I decided to restart but this time with a Voice donor and actually knowing something.

Well as soon as I recorded I started posting stuff because I was excited but lately i've been really lazy to re-record so .. I dunno.. when I'll ever start again xD

Aline wasn't going to be an UTAUloid... Actually, I only started to record her after I got a decent computer xD

lol i pick A, well cause when i bought my mic i went straight to recording Kaisa, without knowing what to do when i was done. lol xD

XD Oh so much A. Though I had to record a LOT because stuff kept happening to prevent the voice bank from working properly. .w. But it was all in a relatively short amount of time, so I still consider A to be the closest option.

It was A for me. I don't remember when I decided I wanted to record an UTAU but I do remember recording most of Kazuko's sounds in one sitting. XD

Ahahaha |D I'm sure I've been working on mine for a year now. And I've rerecorded over ten times. And I'm still so far from done.

OTL I was so slow and careful (and planned a lot) while recording if I didn't like it - in the bin it went, now that she's kinda finished I'm still :/ about the design and voice.

Only to choose a name took me a pair of months and I'm still not sure.
Not talking about the fail voicebank with the too long consonants I have to remake.
And the design is just planned because I can't draw at all.

C) includes taking forever, isn't it?

I would've picked A at first, but after I planned Fuyu's birth it was "I'mma make another UTAU -grabs mic-" so yeah.

I found about it, then started recording within the hour lDD
mind you, I have NO idea on what I was doing. I just copied the sounds Nana had in her garageband folder.

well for me it was B) because this is how it went, first i tryed making fanmade vocaloids, with the family name koorine (i was accualy using vo...er pocaloid to make use them not the pitchloid way). then sango312 got me thinking why have a no name fanmade vocaloid when i can have a thing that is full on 100% my creation so around november i decided to make the A E I O U then when i got some alone time i did parts of the other list (this was before i knew about oremo and was using a reclist from wikipedia's article on hiragana, audacity and a crappy webcam mic.) when i finsh i find that the mic was unuseable for vb recording. i went in to dispair. then i find a rockband mic and oremo did my vb in 10 min then had anaka's owner do the oto for me then kurisu was born. XP

Like, okay, what originally had gotten me into UTAU in the first place was that one day, Tai had been pixiv hunting for pictures to use in a roleplay, and she found a picture of Yoshiki Roku and sent it to me, knowing of my absolute LOVE of anything with a goatee.

So naturally I flipped poopie and was like MUST KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS MAN GDI >:I and so I did my research and found his voice and loved on it.

So after I had finished fangasming over everything on nico and youtube, I had decided to go on my own and try to use him. After a few very n00by attempts at doing so, I gave up for a while, finding the program slightly complicated and doing no more than designing Hayari in my head and doing a few sketches here and there for deviantart that were later abandoned and forgotten. =w=

Then about a year later, a couple of my convention friends were like, "Oh I'm making an UTAU~ even though I know nothing about the program~ :D" And I was like "Oh, I've used UTAU before :D" and their little spree of UTAU finally got me to get off of my ass and record little miss Hayari-chan. =u=b

After that, I got really into the fandom and decided to bring a goatee of my own into it, aka Kasui. >:I

as soon as I learned about UTAU

I started right away and bought a mic as soon as I can XD

Well, for me it was like "I MUST DO IT!"

Then my friend was like "DON'T! THEY SOUND ROBOTIC AND BAD" DX

Then I showed her some that didn't. And then we started making ours. XP

Starting was not an issue for me. It is doing the rest of the acts. My UTAUloid Mikai Kagemori...I am supposed to be working on his act 5 (even though only I have herd acts 3 and 4) but I seem to be putting every other UTAU's I am working on first.

(none of which I voice, btw)
