Thank you for the comments! <3
Yeah, the OTOs need a lot of tweaking. xD Also, with vowel sounds like "a", "i", "e", "u", "o" and constant sounds like "n"... where would I put the red and green line? 8D;

Re: WIP UTAU Voice Test!
When I have an oto question I check defoko voicebank and copy the settings, heh.
Vowels (n included as it's like a semi-vowel in Japanese, I think) has no need of overlap or preutterance. So keep them at the end of the 1st blue zone.
But that's for single vowels. Diphthongs are different.
Of course, that's only if you think Uta Utane has a good enough oto.
-EDIT after Halo post: Ouch. I guess I'll have to check all the otos again, heh. At least I found it before I ended anything.

Re: WIP UTAU Voice Test!
Actually, vowels still need a little pre utterance and overlap.
Basically put, the red line and green line go at exactly the same spots. About 20-50ms? So they flow into previous CVs that are meant for vocalization. Such as the "ho-o-o-o" in Bad Romance should be "hoooo~" ^^''
@irei1as
Also, you.
Defokos Voice bank uses a slightly altered Auto oto.
It is NOT a good example for how to do oto files.

Re: WIP UTAU Voice Test!
it's not? D: yoru usually tells me to practice with defoko.
i've kinda been doing little by little with my voice bank working off what bits and pieces i learned watching ari and you otoing >.< i'm stuck on the 3 letter consonants though ._. they confuse me ;;;;>.>

Nope, I was looking at her before and they are DEFINATELY Autooto. D; Dude, some of her consonants don't even have preutt and overlap.
Hm... For three letter consonant preutterance, I use the first consonant and as much of the second I can get without going over 70ms. D; Green line still goes halfway inbetween.

Re: WIP UTAU Voice Test!
........
Knowing the placements is kinda everything.
Knowing the placements is kinda everything.
- Spoiler:
Blue bar/Front cut off zone- Cuts off silence and slurs on soft consonants (s, l, f, h, n, m etc), when beta-ing otos, best to just put it at the start of the sound.
Red line/pre-utterance- Goes at the start of the vowel/end of the consonant. That's all you really need to know. Mess with it later while on a UST with the Overlap and Preutterance cleared to see what it actually does XD
Green line/Overlap- Goes halfway in between the red line and the front cut off zone.
Pink bar/how much of the sounds is stretched- Goes over the start of the vowel for a little bit.
Back cut off zone- Cuts off the natural fade off at the end (so it flows better into other vowels).
