    Note X? Empty Note X?

    Post by NiGHtsBeta09 Sun Aug 29, 2010 6:51 pm

I sometimes see the lyric "x" input into a ust, such as the Kokoro one. I was wondering what this means, as it seems to have an envelope for fading, and that would make sense if you listen to the original song. But all it does for mine is stop the note out of nowhere, leaving small unfaded gaps, since no x sound was required.

Any tips on what these mean, or what I can do to make them sound better?

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks~!

btw, they also have pitches, which makes me think they weren't solely made for silence, but I'm new, so I have no idea, honestly...

It does nothing, leave it alone.

Ok, so it's just meant as a gap in the vocals? Thank you, I was just wondering if it was meant for something, or some sort of error in the lyrics.

Thank you, this helps a lot~

It's for pitch bends that start before the note itself starts, like when it starts on one note and goes up to the next one, y'know? If that makes any sense? owo;; But yeah, you can just leave it alone.

I think I get what you mean, like they're there for pitch since you can't do that with rests? Ok, thanks~ You guys have been a great help~ :3 I think I can finish the song now!
