in need of help ._.

i don't know what to really do.. i'm in some need of guidance with utau, oto.ini's and the like. i don't usually like to ask for help cause i tend to try and do things on my own, but i feel a little lost ._.

i've been getting lots of information from many different sources to learn about utau (and some of you i have asked for a particular question about something). and apparently there seems to be some drama going around somewhere between some people that i'm unaware of so saying a certain word or name i feel as though i'm getting attacked too...

it's kinda getting hard for me to learn because of that and other things beyond my control. so i need help.

and starting the 15th i may not be on as much due to GED classes (for many who don't know a GED is the equivalent of a high school diploma).

i've also been thinking i should just rerecord nanashi again from scratch.

so umm here's my voice bank if anyone would like to look over it (you may cringe alot) and remember he's only good using the fresampler.exe

well i'd like to learn more on oto-ing and a second opinion would be nice if i should rerecord or not @_@ cause i'm feeling unsure about nanashi at the moment.

Well, every act for Hayao, I re-record the whole bank (VCV or not).
So. If you hear any imperfections, I'd recommend rerecording a better way, that should make Nanashi even higher quality! 8D I really like him now, but if theres flaws you can hear, fix 'em.

So far, his otos need a bit of work.

The only thing I can really do about that is A) Download and fix him or B) Copy paste the explanation I always use.

Which would you prefer? XD

Okay, the preutt. goes at the end of the consonant. UNLEEEESSSS the consonants are too long (80-100ms or more), in which case you cut off some of the slur you must have done (usually on slurring consonants, such as "s", "l", "n", "m", "w", "z" etc).

The overlap goes approximately half way between the red line and the front cut off.

And the back cut off cuts off some of the end, to ensure a more fluid transition. ^^

ON VOWELS HOWEVER;
The overlap and preutt. go in exactly the same place. ;D
About 30-70ms. ^^

BY THE WAY, using this method generally means your UTAUloid will sound it's smoothest if you make sure the UST is in Mode2, then do this:
