There was an oto guide Yesi made not too long ago, and it had VCV. Uh...it's one of the older posts on this forum.

VCV record sounds should be 4-5 seconds each.

    Look harder.

Look up "oto.ini overseas utau forum" on Google and it'll give you one thread with someone asking how to do an oto.ini. Someone in that thread linked to Yesi's thread.

Or you could just, I dunno, look yourself through the forums? Search function is screwed up.

i don't think yesi made a thread like that ._. the only thread i know of by her is this one
    https://overseasutau.forumotion.net/tutorial-and-resources-directory-f31/how-to-make-an-utauloid-something-to-help-get-you-started-t10.htm

(she also reposted all that on her blog too a couple of days ago)
she kinda left shortly after that and refuses to come back to the forums.
or even look at it ._.

The best way to learn VCV is, in my opinion, to reference a VCV bank, and compare as you go. This usually works better when the bank in question is a Japanese VCV UTAUloid, once again, in my opinion.
That's how I learned and oto'd VCVs on my... 3rd attempt at them, I think.

To be honest, that VCV tutorial and plenty of others really didn't help me at all. o_o

LupinAKAFlashTH2 is totally right in that practice makes perfect and using a reference helps a lot.

But as the more information, the better, let me point you to the N.H.P. tutorials about VCV. I found them from this thread.

You can easily recognize the links to the vcv ones because "vcv" is in the name of the direction.
