    Ok so I decided I might take the time to record my very own voicebank for UTAU (yay), and it sure is alot of fun (besides my crappy mic).

    Anyways, I was testing out some of the sounds I had already rendered in REAPER, edited the parameters and all that good stuff. But as I play a couple of notes, the beginning of the note ALWAYS seems to overlap the previous note. I tried playing around with the overlap parameter, but I could never figure out why it was doing this. Could anyone lend me a hand?

    Hey, there!

    I had a problem like this once.

    Okay, first always make sure that you didn't set your sound files to have a lot of overlap in the oto.

    (I'm not trying to treat you like you're dumb or anything, I have forgotten this stuff before myself, fffft.)

    Then, after entering a note, right click it and select Property/Note Property (depending what yours says) and check the two white boxes below the boxes labeled "volume" and "modulation/mod". Make sure they are not gray, and are blank/clear when you do this.

    Let me know if this helps, please. ^_^;

    Thanks so much for the reply!! <3
    I tried your method, SingingRobotStalker, and I sadly didn't get any results. I just decided to trash my previous frequency maps and my oto, and just redo it. Now it's not overlapping ^^. But thanks so much for the suggestion.

    So the next thing on my agenda is working out the "p" sounds I have in some of my samples. X3

    It's the oto. I'm going to imagine preutterance is very high. Screenshot your that samples oto for me?

    Ah, it was the oto then. XD

    Already, sorry I couldn't help, good luck to you, though. ^_^

    For "p" try not to think too hard about the consonant--otherwise it ends up either too strong or almost nonexistent.

    Hah I see what you mean. When I recorded my "p", it seemed kinda strong. I think I also have the same problem with "wa" as well. X3
    But then again I came into knowing very little so I guess it's all just something I need to learn. Yay for learning! <_<
