Something called an "Act"

Ok, so I've seen it more and more, as I indulge myself into the UTAU world, and, honestly, I don't quite understand it........

What's an act? Such as a voicebank being in "act 1" or something like that. I'm guessing they are different stages of an UTAU process, but what's the difference between them?

That aside, if you have any tips or advice when working with an UTAU's voice, please share! (If you want, I mean.) I'm still quite the newbie, and could always use the help!

You know how on software they always have a version number? It's sort of like that. I don't think there's a set standard for what determines a new act.

I think an "act" should be like, at least enough sounds for 1 language

SO, the first time somebody records their utauloid, it's act 1, and they redo (and hopefully improve XD) will be act 2, and so on

I believe (if you want to know its history) that ACT was first used with Rin/Len Kagamine voicebanks. because the first version was a little glitchy to work with. so crypton made a new version and called it Rin/Len Kagamine Act 2.

Of course, you don't have to call them acts. xD;; I'm a bit tired of Acts, even though I'm just all lolokay "~Act the Second~" or whatever so it's ~fancy~ xD;; But ACT seems to be the catchy, most used term
