FL Studio Projects and help Thread~ :D

Okay, so, I'm just posting up this thread for those who have FL Studio and like making music (even if random music) with it. This is where you post samples, describe new projects, etc. This is also where you ask questions or get help for certain bugs.

So~ I'll begin.

I'm currently working on background music for one of Kenji's original songs. :D
With out a midi keyboard, this might take a while. T_T XD
I'm also trying to make a nice melody involving the piano, violin, and a synth (which I have yet to pic out XD )

I also have a problem with Audacity.
Apparently, when you install FL Studio, Audacity becomes disabled. I don't know why. It pops up and strings 3 different messages. T_T Help plz?

Is anyone else playing around with FL Studio?

I downloaded the demo version, and I love it so far (even if I'm still kinda figuring things out)!

And I had the same problem with Audacity, try uninstalling it and downloading the zip-file version, it should work just fine. ^__^

EDIT: Oh! I was messing around with it for a while, and this happened. The chorus is a little repetitive, but there are supposed to be vocals over it, so that might help?

For those of you guys who really, really want FL Studio, but can only mess around with the demo, this registry file/patch makes everything (supposedly- haven't tryed it on everything yet) registered with no repeats, whatsoever. Just download the demo, install it, run the registry file/patch, there you go! :D

List of things the demo version may limit/do to your FL Studio experience-
-Mutes the synthesizer programs (save directwave and soundfont) every few minutes
-Allows you to save projects, but doesn't allow you to open them untill you buy
-Doesn't allow the usage of extra plugins (that are extensions that don't come with the Producer's edition)

Fffff, now I'm kinda embarrassed to put this up. XD;; (It's super short right now, but I'm still working on it~ Someday it's gonna have actual lyrics instead of just lalalalala. XD;; And I'm not married whatsoever to the vocal part, I just kinda made it up at the last minute, orz)

What in the world am I doing wrong?
I usually get the hang of programs pretty fast... but...
I can't even find a piano in FL.

Trying to mix a song, and I can't even play from the playlist editor... Let alone add effects.

How do you add effects, and is there a default Piano in FL?

There's no default piano. FL Studio's earlier versions were just a drum set. FL Studio's defaults are 4 parts of a drum- the kick, the clap, the hat, and the snare. Other instruments may be added, however.

Where did you guys get it? (And for which version is this 'patch' thing?)

What about FPC? That's a really good drum machine with all kinds of different sounds, it actually sounds realistic. ^__^

And there's no default piano, but there's a really good piano soundfont out there (I can't remember where exactly, but I'll put up a link when I can). Soundfonts are really good for different instruments. ^__^

You can download a demo for FL Studio at their website that lets you do everything but save and puts random crackly noises on its nicer synths. But I think Kenji put up a registry key that takes that stuff off. ^__^

The above is true.
The crack works for any demo version of Image-line software that was released BEFORE heartless.

Okay, so I'm going to make a little tutorial on how to use FL Studio for mixing. >3
I do not have a recording program, at the moment- well at least I do not have a mic to use to record my voice in the tutorial- so I need a suggestion- should I use Hypercam ( D: ) or Camstudio?

i'd go with camstudio. my brother uses it when he does playthroughs of games and it's light on proccessing power but still can record in great quality.

No sound is coming out in mine D8 It did before!

I use FL studio for mixing too!
It's way easier than other programs
Also with Audacity problem, I had that, too.
It says that the problem is sound cards so I am quessing that the demo/'pirated' version monopolies the sound card. However, the problem was solved when I changed the speakers( and after that it had no problem with the old speakers either)

Can anybody teach me the basics of this program? I've been messing around with it, but I don't know how I should make songs and such... I can get sounds from it though! /PROUD

You need basic knowledge of music, of course.
However, I recommend you to do make use of youtube which is what I do. There are many many tutorials that you can watch.

ste1438 is an FL Studio user as well as a HUUUGE teacher for those who are new to it. He is a youtube partner, so he is able to post 15+ minute videos.

If you are a newb at FL Studio and you need tips before you start making songs, look through his channel, and possibly subscribe for future tips.
