I need your opinion...

Hey guys. My parents are buying me an engloid for my birthday (im turning 12 :D)) I have a choice between LEON, LOLA and MIRIAM, I can't decide on one I need your opinion on them so I can compare. Thankies for your time.

I would really get MIRIAM, just because no one EVER uses her (I'm probably leaving myself open for corrections here).
But I mean, really! I don't see her used too often in songs, and I don't see a lot of concept art regarding her. Dx Maybe I don't look too often, but she just seems like a really ignored Engloid.

I'd go for Miriam; she's got a lot of potential.

But does it have to be Vocaloid (first) era? Couldn't you use Sweet Ann or Tonio or Big-Al or Prima? My favorite is Sweet Ann.

I'd go for Miriam, her voice is awesome, and her genderbend, Wiriam, is just plain beast-mode.

Well, Sonika is actually cheaper than most V2 voicebanks for only 100$ (acording to this, not sure if the offer is still available)... yeah, poor virtual girl. (I still have faith she can sing nicely. I guess I'm one of her few fans.)

For the options you say, yeah, MIRIAM. She's the one that sounds nicest.

But I'm really not sure if any VOCALOID sofware is a good present for a 12 year old child. VOCALOID software in general is not easy to use at all.

Yeah I like Miriam. I made an mmd model for her. So I might as well get her. (I'm getting vocaloid for my original songs. Now I wont have to spend forever translating the lyrics |D)

Leon, since he has a lot of variety to his voice. xD
Plus, he's awesome (my own opinion).

Honestly, the Engloids aren't nearly as good as the Japanese Vocaloids, and they're much harder to use. I would practice making .ust's in Utau before you get your heart too set on an Engloid.

The Engloids are actually easier, believe it or not (since the dictionary lets you punch in actual words, unlike English-support UTAU).

They also have a wider range of phoenemes.

Oh, I just assumed you had to spell words by the pronunciation. Silly me.

Still, I'm not impressed by the engloid songs. Honestly, Chezzie's continual english demos sound better than the official engloids.

UTAU in general have more potential than Vocaloids (things like VCV, voice individuality, etc. set them apart).

But I honestly don’t see anything wrong with Engloids.
