I was slightly joking. But no, I've never heard of Voiceroid, but I would assume it's to talking as Vocaloid is to singing.

The reasons Voiceroid is so popular among the Vocaloid/UTAU community:
1. It's by AH-Software, and was announced shortly after miki/Kiyoteru/Yuki.
