New Question - USTs Romaji v. Kana

So..I'm not sure what's going on?

Reim is aliased. And she's sung UST files that were written in romaji, just as she has hiragana. But tonight she won't sing USTs that were in romaji. I tried changing them to hiragana manually, but she still wouldn't.

However if I load up an UST that was hiragana by default, she sings it.

Her filenames are all romaji [a.wav, i.wav, so on]. And she has been aliased to work with hiragana.

Did I break something?

It might be the UST itself, so...
What UST were you trying to use?

I tried several. The two that were in romaji were "Don't Say Lazy" and "Princess Mononoke" [I'm sorry. I can't entirely recall the authors. I've had them a long while now.]

The one that was in Hiragana as-is was Bad Apple.

The thing is, I've gotten her to sing both before.

Do you use Resampler.dll or .exe? (probably asked you this before, but I'm tired)

I was told the .dll "messes things up". I'd been using the dll up until tonight though..maybe that's it? I like how she sounds with the exe version. :< She sounds clearer.

I guess you could try to download UTAU zip and try again... that's kinda my solution for any weird problems, just download the zip and start the program from zero (not the voicebank! Just paste your normal old voicebank files to the new voice folder like normal).

Maybe there is some file that needs configuration in the options. Probably for the path of the exe.

Oh, what computer are you using? If you're not the administrator it could have happened that the admins blocked "cmd" commands making resampler.exe unusable (but .dll would work as normal).



To tell the truth I have no idea what can be your problem, sorry.
It's quite weird that the aliases work but the normal file names don't.
Does any file or an alias have numbers? There was a problem related with that but I can't check it right now.

I'm the admin on my computer, yes. And the UTAU is my own, so I don't have anywhere to redownload her from? xD

It's very weird because she sang the 'la la la' of Campanella just now [in romaji, "Ra"] with the resampler.exe just fine.

I suppose I'll redownload the USTs and see if that helps any.

Oh, I didn't mean to download your voicebank(also called UTAU, uh. My bad here).

I mean the program. There is a portable version, "UTAU zip", that doesn't need installing anything. It has its own settings so if it happens there is anything wrong with the configuration of your old UTAU program then that new "from zero" zip version will not have it.

Get it from the official site of UTAU of Mr. Ameya/Ayame:

Download the last version that says "zip".

With that one you'll have to use the res folder for traslation and copy there your voicebank.
