Let's clarify the UTAU rules.

All "UTAU" users must follow these rules!!
•Don't create voice bank from a real singer's voice without permission.
•Don't create voice bank from a real actor/actress's voice without permission.
•Don't create voice bank from a real voice actor/actress's voice without permission.
•Don't create voice bank from the output of “Vocaloid” products, which explicitly forbid such a usage.
•Don't create voice bank from the output of other voice synthesizers without permission.
Breaking the rules will result in the accusation against you, and may even Mr. 飴屋／菖蒲 (Ameya/Ayame) as an accomplice.
Such a situation will terminate the free "UTAU" world and should be avoided definitely. "

I may be overreacting, but I can't stand rule breaking, ESPECIALLY in UTAU. She knows it's wrong, yet she still does it. -_-;;; Forget sound editing, it's still rule breaking.

I think it's against Crypton's copyright to use Miku's voice in another program and claim her's as your own.
Its against Ameya's rules too.

Besides who'd like a utau version of miku? I'd buy the original program five thousand times before even thinking to get a free stupid rip off. *fumes*

I spoke to her through PM, she said her laptop broke so she can't do anything anymore...

But still, I worry. She might be lying (because I'm psychotic like that) and there might be other people out there who also do this, but haven't revealed themselves...

The difference is that they don't put the resulting VBs up for download, because that's it, just a test. Nothing more. It kinda irritates me to see when someone puts VBs from voice synthetizers for DL (speaking on that, I'm putting my Iku VB backup as private as we're speaking, d'oh >< *Feeling hypocrite*).

Akume Iku kinda got permission from StudioS, as far as I'm concerned (they made her so people could apply her voice in H-games and stuff, so, it's not like they'd mind much, as long as it advertises their product so people can buy it, but either way, please don't put her VB for public DL), but I can't really say the same from Vocaloids, Voiceroids, Microsoft Sam, and whatsoever. Specially Vocaloids.

Why are people stupid? Why do people break rules when they KNOW that what they are doing is breaking the rules?
It's one think doing something stupid that only affects yourself, but it's stupid on a whole other level when what you do affects other people too.
Not that I support breaking the rules either way. -_-;;
