Cosplaying your own Utau?

Ha, eh?, Lol... I'm so going to do this, hoping for soon. I found bright orange nailpolish and giant blue hair barrettes already, and I'm guessing I'll need to make the pants and shirt myself for accuracy of colour and the like but.... EXCITED xD.

Also going to be making a wig as his Ponytail has too much body for real hair. And stubbing a wig and adding extensions will look so much better (and stay so much better!) <3.

So question: is anyone else planning on this eventually? <3

I might put up some of the w.i.p. stuff as this'll take me awhile, mostly because I have 4.5 costume on a deadline right now for conventions xD (the .5 is because I need to improve one thats mostly done). Not to mention my comission projects =_= *dies* BUT IMMAGETTHISDONETOOHURRR xD.

The biggest part of learning to sew is confidence, and perhaps the ability to thread the machine. Go for it! <3

@ Aline: Yes x_x, I have a lot of hair in RAI's design too (Actually somewhat more then his offical art was part of his original design, which is why you might notice Wolka draws it more full in later pictures xD). But after doing Chibiusa I'm pretty confident I'll be able to make a wig for RAI ^^ (though it'll actually be more similar to the technique I used for my Millenia wig).

@Ringo: Gah yes, I need to bind for RAI definitly myself. xD. But yay compression shirts ^^. I should really cosplay as somone who actually has breasts sometime... to like prove I have them *has done mostly crossplay/younger female characters*


I actually have another question, I know that one of the other people in my cosplay group is up for cosplaying Seiya, and Wolka is fine with her doing so ^^. BUt does anyone here realy not want their Utau to be cosplayed if not by them/someone they know? Because there are 2 more poeple in my cosplay group who might want to join in with us, but they can do japanese Utau instead if it's an issue. If it's a general consensus of 'no' then I'll tell then to chose a japanese design if they want to be in a matching group.

I might but i dunno if i would have another use for tight white pants..... ew.. but considering seiyas hair and eyes were copied from me it would be easy xD

I don't want to cosplay as Katarina, I'll look like a stupid Mary Sue.

Ah, If you feel that way. So far all the chracters I have cosplayed are so differnt from my usual looks that the transformations that even when I've created the character, I don't really give me those feelings, and I'm suspecting RAI won't be much differnt with the binding and other crossplay tricks I'll have to pull off ^^. And even chracters close to my body type/personaility... arn't me so.... I wouldn't have this issue.

If I could sew a bodysuit, buy some Sailor Saturn boots to recolor them to the accurate color and a brown wig, I'd do Vista.

I would since I based her looks off of mine xD But I would have to learn how to sew and I would need longer hair...since I have Rin hair xD Aya's hair is longer.
