Changes/Improvements you'd like to see in UTAU?

The only main thing that I'd like to see in UTAU someday is the option to have more than one voice in a UST at a time, like in vocaloid. ;u;

It'd be a lot easier and time-saving to do harmonies and whatnot instead of having seperate files for each part, ye?

What would be nice is to be able to combine phonemes in one note like you can in Vocaloid. |3 For the longest time I couldn't get over not being able to do that. xDDD

I think the one thing that keeps UTAU from combining phonemes like in vocaloid is the fact that UTAU was made in Visual Basic 6, a programming language that doesn't support synthesis like that via normal means.

I think it'd be cool to be able to skin UTAU. I mean, come on. A piano roll that's completely black and white, with blue, grey, white, pink, or yellow notes (depending) is kinda boring after a while.

Also, YES HAVING MULTIPLE TRACKS ON UTAU WOULD BE HELPFUL.
And I would like to see more flags. I love flags.

It'd also be neat if it came with some nice vocal effects built in, like maybe some reverb, or something that makes it sound like an old radio.

Hm. I'm not sure if there is this already available, but settings that, if combined, can change the pronunciation of a phoneme slightly. |: I wanna make Ito Kanako USTs without having to record alternate "a" files and such to make it sound better.
Vocaloidcandoit. XD I've seen Miki do it before (with an Ito Kanako song), although it WAS Haro-P who made her sing like that... So maybe it's really difficult or something :'C

More MIDI-compatibility? (Altough importing them through Vocaloid works too, but it's such a hassle!)

No I didn't mean it like that.

You can import EVERY MIDI into Vocaloid, but only some work in UTAU... That's what I meant.

Did you even see the post I linked?
Its because UTAU only supports one channel and no chords, so it messes up on good MIDIs.
That's why you should import into a MIDI editing program (Vocaloid, FL or Synthfont), and delete/mute all the tracks except the one or two you need at a time + the tempo track. Then they'll work in UTAU properly. |:

About customization, UTAU can already be customized, but... It's a shareware feature D: *The one who have seen some vids with customized UTAU windows* Just ask Aisu if she didn't try to customize UTAU in the settings.ini... And it didn't work at all in the end. orz

Vocaloid their notes have a slight differentce at the end of the note. for example, a "yo" sounds more human in vocaloid because the "oe" (like in shoe) is at the end of the "yo"
sooo in UTAU, I really like to see that when you record "bur_as_in_burning.wav" (sorry Mae xD) you will hear the R at the end of the note. That should be SO useful when using other languanges~

Vocaloid also has the ability to let you hear how the voice sound at a selected note. Like, you click C4 and you get to hear how your voice sounds ad C4... That would be nice too.

You can change the colors of everything in UTAU.

You go into setting.ini in the program folder, scroll down and there's a bunch of things where it's COLOR_ something, and then a hex value? You change the hex value to the color you want for that part of the program.

I wish UTAU had an in-built voicebank equalizer... Because when you end up recording a sample a bit too low, well... It keeps said sample too low. orz
