I don't know if this is the right section..Embarassed

Well I guess I just want HARSH critique on her voice itself.. ^^; I'm kinda left in the dark about it really, and I don't want to further her voicebank without knowing if people like it at least a little..? I really don't want to worry about it that much, but it's really bothering me lately..

Certain songs I try and make her sing don't sound right most of the time, and from what I was told and know she works better with most pop songs. So... I also need some pointers on how to properly adjust an ust to fit her as well..

    Her good covers so far:

The OTO is fixed up on both ends? she sounds like she holds a few notes a bit long, have you thought about re-recording a few of her syllables
-- To me it just sounds muffled, and a bit metallic.

The oto's should be ok I think, I've followed Yesi-chan's tutorial and even looked at how some of the better voicebanks had their oto's.. And the muffled/metallicness could be my microphone, but I'm not entirely sure... It's a microphone that came out of a "How to Learn" language software..^^; I thought it would do just fine for recording, I've been using it since I first started.

As a beginner, I don't know that I can offer a lot of crit on anything else, but a better mic could actually help--between version 1 of Sho and version 2 (only real difference is a better mic for version 2), version 2 sounds much better.

I'm just going to assume that your mic is lower quality, because most that come packaged with things in my experience were.

Recording mic's look very expensive..^^; I really don't have money for a higher quality mic, but i'll try and see what I can do.. Thanks!^^

Hmm, the oto sounds good to me.
I think it's your microphone, she sounds a bit muffled. But not all of her samples. Try listening criticaly to your whole voicebank and pick the ones who aren't good and record them again.

(OMG my English really sucks today I am sorry! D8)

Actually, I was just told that a Singstar or Rockband-microphone works just fine, at least if it works with an USB-thibngy...
