utau has stoped working O_O

idk what happened today i turned on my comp opened utau and it said "file not found" in a pop up, and when i put my mouse anywhere on the pianoroll it says "script out of range" i have tried reinstaling and i still got my locale set to japan. and i tryed setting the locale back to english and using applocale.

BTW, im a vista user

if the bank you're trying to use is in hiragana that might be the problem

i'm not sure why it's not working if you've set the aplocale but try a romaji bank ?

Can I suggest you to try the portable zip option?

Go to utau download page and download the zip file instead the installation (and you don't need to uninstall UTAU, actually):

(Click where says "v0.2.76 zipアーカイブ")

Now with that zip... Just unzip it at your favourite directory and use it clicking utau.exe (if you aren't using AppLocale. Use the AppLocale stuff with that .exe if you do).

To traslate, just add the "res folder" near the exe just like normal.

For voicebanks just copy their folder inside the voice folder there.


Actually, the installation is better than the zip because it installs a pair of needed libraries for UTAU to work (I think some Microsoft update installs them, too if you use directly the zip. What I know is I had a problem running the zip in a recently formated PC because those files were asked and it solved with the install) but as you installed it, the zip will work perfectly fine.

It could also be that if you have recently downloaded a new VB, that might be the problem, after you tried the above and it still doesn't work you maybe should try deleting it and reinstalling that voice bank

Its probably a voicebank. Otherwise use ZIPUTAU. That what I use. I realize now, anyway xD

the reason i wanted to reinstall was that any voicebank i put in the voice folder whouldnt come up in utau nor in windows...
