I actually have to agree with you about the design. See, originally Kurumi was one of my friend's OC's, and he gave me the character design when I created her voicebank because at the time I was far too lazy to come up with my own. I'm actually thinking about changing her outfit =/ Although it's too late to change her hair/eyes T_T Not to mention, I suck at drawing so I would have to find someone who's able to draw to help me put together the new design =)

I don't think anyone would participate in a contest O.o; Haha I only have like 34 subscribers on Youtube.
And yeah, I remember you =) Maybe one day I'll encode her in English for you... I'm lazy though O.o;

Maybe someone outside you're subscriber's list might participate? Like someone just browsing around fot contests on Youtube, or maybe even someone from your friends list? I'm sure not all of your friends are your subscribers too!

Why does her name use two different alphabets in it?

Meilin means why does Kurumi's last name have kanji and hiragana in it.

I can answer that. "Subarashii", which means "appearing wonderful", is made up of the kanji 素晴, which means "wonderful" and らしい, which means "appear".
Truthfully though, 素晴音 would be a more proper way to write "wonderful sound".

Oh. Well, I don't speak Japanese at all so I had no idea. I used an online kanji dictionary (probably not the most reliable thing) for her name.
