The Plagiarism Issue - Farewell, magnet and JBF

The PV artist Yunomi-P has been accused of (or maybe she really did do) plagiarism, and she announced on her blog she will no longer do artwork.
2chan decided to be trolls and added hit counts to videos she did works for and spamming comments like "trace" to offend her with these accusations.
As a result some authors who have used her work for their videos have made their videos private.

Guess what?

This means Just Be Friends and magnet have been deleted off Nico Nico Douga.

Think about that for a second.

Both are now disqualified from the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking, and we'll never get to see the original videos again. EVER.

I don't know what's worse, the authors thinking this is a perfect reason to take down their videos or the trolls.

Me neither...

Sometimes I just don't get the Japanese. How many people here trace? It's normal in our community. I wouldn't know how to make art without dong it!

i traced kurisu's art from someone's art (got the artist's permission and both pieces are under the copy but share alike thingy)

I really don't think she traced, heavily referencing is the most I could say. ((JBF is known to be imitating the style of a Korean manga artist, anyway... o3o))

I don't care for them being off the ranking. Because I think songs after a year shouldn't be on the ran anymore.. But still being deleted of Nico?

Some of it is pretty ridiculous, honestly. Heaven forbid you use a picture of an iPod as reference for an iPod! The guitars are also ridiculous. XD

But honestly I don't know what to think of all of this. XD I'm not really upset about the videos being removed. I know I'll just watch reprints and be on my way~ I probably saw more reprints than originals anyway.

Most of them are ridiculous; it's like that "tracing" joke thread (which said a picture of Kugimiya Rie was like a washboard. Get it?)...

Especially Luka's guitar position, that one's a very common one to take. Most of the alleged trace-originals are stock photos, too...
