No, it's not a porn site. It is a voicebank review site. Currently we don't take external reviews right now as we're ironing out the policies for that.

Firstly, may I say, great job on getting the idea at the same time as me XD
Seems very well planned and such, nice to see someone else who cares about quality, thanks.

Ah, it's pretty. HOWEVER. Maybe it's a little intimidating? I'd suggest changing the colors a bit.
Now, I'm trying my hardest not to focus on this bit too much, since it isn't what the main point of this is, but gosh.

The two content browsing bars are REALLY distracting. D:
It would make more sense to have them either all in the same place, or to move News and Home up with Site rules and such, while having the review searching buttons on the second bar where they are now.

Okay, it could stand to be a little less informal, as well as... limited. You hardly point out problems and weak areas, you really just stick to what the outline says...

You should really try to prolong it and try to speak like you're actually talking to the person in front of you.
How could they improve?

Some of the time you're really quite harsh and stick with it, and some of the time you're just kind of... "Yay, they're a wonderful bank~~~"... Then sometimes you're just kinda like... "...whatever, no comment, this bank is kinda cool."
Really. You could stand to do more background research, as well (Yasu is a boy, by the way, the whole girl thing was someone being annoyed at a female>male voicer.)

You should probably CLEARLY state how much each category is worth on each critique...
And the star system is a bit all over the place.

Also, while I was looking over your criteria, it's a little limited for it to be out of ten, right?
I personally do mine out of 100. ^^ Makes it more accurate, whereas in yours, it's really... Well, inaccurate, leaves room for the imagination. Also, really easy to get a 0 or to get a 2.

And I'd recommend including small sections on the oto and design.
Even if they don't add to the total score, they are important parts of the UTAUloid. Particularly the oto, but if a design is bad, they may go unnoticed.

Overall, yes it does it's job, and yes, people will appreciate it...
But it really does need a bit of work to be more accurate and the best it can be!

Site: Regarding site, do you have a wordpress scheme you have in mind?
Critique Style: Good point. In fact there are reviews sent to me I've kinda put on hold because of the lack of proof. I've made it a point in the site to provide proof to justify their statements, but if you see something that kinds of overlooks this, always tell us.
Consistency: This is going to be quite a problem, but not impossible to fix. However, in cases of being uninformed, this is what leaving reactions in the site are for. In this case, it is the reviewer who should be informed if there are details that are written wrong.
The tone of the site may change drastically, but a degree of professionalism is always attempted to be made whenever possible.
Criteria: Read the criteria section yet? But yeah, the star system needs to be elaborated. The overload of the 10 point system is somewhat intentional.

I just thought it left way too much to the imagination. D: it's too easy to get a 0 or a 2, in some cases, even with a mediocre bank you could get a 2.

I had no Wordpress theme in mind, I thought you could just delve into the code and switch some things around...
But if it's Wordpress, that's a little hard, isn't it? XD

It's a good site. I think it's still a bit counterintuitive to navigate around but I doubt you can improve it even farther with wordpress.
I'm bookmarking it for sure.


I would like to see a simplified list of the voicebanks reviewed. Something like:

Name 1 -> Score
Name 2 -> Score
...
Name N -> Score

And be able to click in the name to get to the full review.


Also there is a criteria point it's way too soft:

Just one negative point for an illegal voicebank? I don't know.

I agree with you ire1as on the list though, but making a dedicated php script for that is really cumbersome, which is why I settled for wordpress for the meantime.

Also, if the reviewer is vague, didn't explain well, or lacks proof, always bring up that topic on the review page so you can be heard. This is important so that it will be official.

I'm kinda against reviewing voicebanks. Most of it are technical stuff (although I've seen usable voicebanks with low sound quality, like Riki León, Misuinu Kaiki's revamp and perhaps Aline herself), but the personal opinion and the voice originality kinda tick me off. Why? *Sigh*

People can't choose to have an original voice. Even if they voice act, it might make things inconstant, and perhaps worse than they already are. If Aline's voice was too generic, I'd be sad, but if I voice-acted (for real, not just using a slightly more mature inflection from my normal voice like I did), she'd just sound like a softer, low-quality Teto (as I've shown with Linny's and Teto's duet in Hato), and this would be even worse.

And about personal opinions... It might be biased. It's the reviewer personal view. Good thing it doesn't detract points, but if Mae (for example, although it seems like she did some of those reviews; who else would call Yasu Sora a female, daggummit) was reviewing a voicebank like Takane Miru, she'd probably not give points to her because she's a treble bank (of which she usually despises), despite the fact she's high quality; it'd diminish her overall score in comparison a not so high quality bank she'd love, like, I dunno, Gin Rickey, for example. I'd take that personal review off, as it seems too biased for the site's own good.

Then again, it's not like I'm right or anything. I don't take my very personal opinions as facts, and neither should you, if it displeases you.

(BTW, I like how MOD0 nulls any slight pitch variation, but alerts me that Aline's "ba" still sucks. OTL)

P.S.: Do pops and cracks in places that can be edited in the oto (right at the start, before the consonant, by the end of the vowel) count as detracting for the voicebank? They can be easily cut with oto.ini settings, so, I think it'd be harsh if they did.

If it's redeemable, like it is an issue that can be fixed, it can still be scored well.
