    6. Download Utau.
    7. Whine about how it doesn't work.
    8. Download AppLocale
    9. Whine about how it still doesn't work.
    10. Change your locale to Japanese.
    11. Download Oremo.
    12. Record your first voicebank.
    13. Ask what an oto is.
    14. Look up Mae's tutorials.
    15. Do it wrong.
    16. Whine about how there's no romaji usts
    17. Try the oto again.
    18. Make the vocals to your first song.
    19. Mix in Audacity, with much clipping
    20. Add a white text on blue background title on WMM
    21. Publish to Youtube
    22. Release your first voicebank.
    23. Whine about how nobody notices you.
    24. Join Overseas
    25. Ask for art.
    26. Somebody helps you with your voicebank (probably Mae)

    I probably left out some crucial steps, such as "create a pitchloid" and "create 20 million appends that all sound the same."

    Other than the "essential" ones (i.e. changing locale and recording UTAU), I haven't done many of these.

    The ones I have done that I shouldn't be doing: 1, 7 (okay, let's face it, we've all done 7), 23 (this was only the first 2 months or so; when I do it nowadays, it's purely tongue-in-cheek), 24, 25, 28 (okay, so it doesn't technically fail if you put it in P1P4 or P2P3), 29 (IS NOT ACT2. IS OTHER TYPE OF VOICE), 33, and 36. (I stopped doing 36 nowadays since I'm lazy, so I need to work harder.)

    I skipped most of the more frowned-upon steps, funnily enough - I did the research with Vocaloid and UTAU and knew what they were before I got into them at all.
    I also don't use Audacity for mixing - REAPER or GarageBand. (Or FL.) I only use Audacity for recording, since OREMO...scares me.
    I've been using Vegas for years before using the UTAU fandom, so yeah.
    Never made a pitchloid.

    My first CV VB was actually one kinda-okay...my VCV is another story.

    Also, I have never done 34 (This is TONGUE-IN-CHEEK, people).

    And Hana alpha, beta, and gamma DO sound different...right?

    Let’s face it, I don’t think anyone here, myself included, has done a proper Japanese R.

    And LOL, I think I don't have a lot of problem with Japanese Rs, but it may be because Spanish/Portuguese (weak) Rs might be the closest to Japanese.

    @Aline Spanish/Portuguese Rs are indeed similar to Japanese, as is Korean. But of course, they’re not exactly the same.

    Mae has only contacted me once, and that was to discuss Hana’s Terms of Usage (she’d read them wrong, and admittedly I was a little strict with them). This resulted in a Hana Updated Terms of Usage in which it was pretty much free-use besides exceedingly offensive things (since honestly I don’t really care).

    So I decline comment.

    I honestly don't get why it's 'so hard' to pronounce 'japanese' R's.The only difference is that they're not rolled. Unless you only speak english or never pronounced another language the right way.
