What do you do before you record?

-Wait till everyone is gone.
-turn off the fan, close all the doors, turn off lights (because some fluorescent lights bake a buzzing sound), turn off AC, turn off everything pretty much.
-cough like 2138472034 times.

-cry as audashitty shuts down
-restart
-record
-parents walk in in the middle of recording and make lots of noise
-yell at them

Old method:

- make sure no one was around in the hallway
- open garageband, make folder, clear rest of desktop
- get something to drink
- close macbook to stop computer fan
- cover self and macbook with thick quilt to muffle background noise
- open macbook
- record over and over and over and over stopping if I heard anyone outside in the hall OTL
- also take long breaks to let fan slow down between sets of recording


New method:

- randomly decide to go to library
- check out mic, pop filter and stand from studio front desk with my university ID
- go to studio room 2 (cuz it's smaller and has the recording booth)
- commence recording without worrying since the room is soundproof

;u;/ If any of you live in a college town, I suggest going to campus to see if they have a sound studio and if you can use it for a day~ if you explain what you're doing I'm sure they'd be intrigued enough to allow you to use their equipment!

Do nothing, then record and get teased by parents...

i record when my mom goes to work and her boyfriend is sleeping (he does night shifts)

it sucks to record other voicebanks not from your voice, its hard for me to keep quiet D<

My friend has a contract for recording. I'm aloud to use it whenever I want.
But I can't drive there, as I have no license, and if I asked my parents to take me, they'd bombard me with questions.
