    Right, I used to use UTAU in english and unicode and I could easily use MIDIs, VSQs, and USTs in it obvisiously when I used AppLocale to open it). But now my computer's japanese compatiable and when I use applocale to put it into Japanese, bam...
    BADFILE????

    All of it is in english and japanese but when I try to import a VSQ or MIDI.
    'SUBSCRIPT OUT OF RANGE'
    or...
    'BAD FILE????'
    Help ?

    Hmmm, you might have a filename in the voice library you're using that can be read in a japanese program. If you have any symbols or anything in a filename, and run UTAU in japanese, it might not be able to read it, so it crashes.

    (I found this out when trying to use hangul while running UTAU in japanese lol;; /fail; ...but then again running UTAU in korean doesn't make it much better either, lol. OTZ)

    ...And if it's not that, then I have no idea, ahaa;
    unless you're not running it right. .A.;

    Ah, this happened to me before.
    In UTAU, you should see a set of files. ONe such file is $read. This stores the computers LOCAL locale data, which means it's not affected by Applocale. Delete it. It should work fine now. :D

    So THATs why it crashed on some of the voicebanks under Applocale, I thought it was a memory limit...\

    In the end I got around it by going to Japanese locale and installing UTAU. Then use my computer in Japanese Locale when working on stuff.
