Sometimes Windows Movie Maker can glitch to where it is unusable on older systems. Below are some free alternatives for video editors.

    ---------------

    System Requirements

    - Typically Windows XP or later

    ---------------

    Videospin
    Wax

    ...yeah, but it's illegal.

Taking the video editing class in middle school and getting a copy of Vegas Movie Studio 8, however, was probably the best deal ever (I don't need more than 4 tracks, and Movie Studio has more effects than Vegas Pro)...

the best things in life are illegal. personally, i own Vegas Pro 9 (because my dad bought it for himself but ended up using a different program), but some people can't afford it - but deserve it. it's not like the po-po are going to hunt you down for making videos. =w=

from my own experience, 4 tracks can either be sufficient for a little video or wayyy wayyy WAYYYYY not enough for a more complicated video. i've made videos where i used like 6 or something tracks - overlays/textures, text, all that jazz, plus the content of the video. & sometimes, less effects is better than more :'D

in other words, it all depends on what kind of videos a person is making. that's why we've got to keep our options open ^3^ im pretty jealous that you had the option to take a film editing class in MIDDLE SCHOOL. my middle school was lame xD i have 2 years left in high school, though, so i have some time to take some film classes if my school offers any x3

I use illegal stuff myself (cough Vocaloid cough), just trying to warn you about publicly advertising that fact out. Although now I suppose I've done it now too TT

Well, I do have Vegas Movie Studio, but since I run a Mac and VMS runs really slow on VMware I now use iMovie...which...kinda works interestingly for me ^^

It's somewhere between Vegas and Movie Maker. It's more for the generic user than the video expert, and occasionally it insults my intelligence, but one can make some relatively decent videos with it.

Is it just me or is the keygen being annoying? (for vegas pro 9)

    It's like.

I enter the serial number, it errors that for some reason it didn't work and send me to a screen in which a have to put in the authentication code.

But on that screen it says it's a different serial and machine ID than what I typed.

So the authentication code errors that, well, it's invalid.

    I WANT TO MAKE AWESOME VIDEOS TOO DAMMIT OTL;

(it also errors when I try to patch it...)

This happened to me. Re-read the instructions very, VERY carefully. There's probably something you missed. I can't remember what my problem was .___.

I'm planning to mess around with Cinerella on AVlinux Also OpenShots, though I'm using it through a LiveDVD as I don't have a computer that I can install it on, I don't think my old WinME box hardware could handle it.
