First off, don't tell me how much Audacity fails, plox. Already been told that once. OTL

Anyway, I have a possibly common occurrence when I mix in Audacity. For example in my newer cover of Cendrillon, I was forced to amplify the samples just so that you could hear them over the music. However, when I do so I sometimes/usually get a humming/buzzing sound during playback, especially during the louder sections of the singing. Anyone know a solution?

It happens. =u= I don't think Oremo is better for Recording. It's just an easy-point-click-go thing.. But you'd probably have to be like Zeny over there and buy a Popfilter. It's just the recording.

Make sure everything around you is off. No fans, no bg music/noise etc

That doesn't actually always fix everything.
And I don't think you wanna record again XD

Instead of upping the volume, compress the vocal track. Effect > Compressor. I heard of people using it for their voice, and so I tried it on Hayao XD Sounded good, man.

But this doesn't always work perfectly, and it's probably better if when you do this, you mess with the volume a bit more, as well.

@vio. No no, I'm not recording samples on Audacity. HECK NAW. I have OREMO fer that. :'D I'm mixing SONGS with Audacity...which I'm told is still unripe doo-doo covered banana for that purpose too. OTL But since I have a netbook as my primary compy and all (EEEPC 10" ALL THE WAY, BEBEH.), REAPER doesn't exactly fit on my screen. xD

Like, for Cendrillon, since the music was SO DAMN LOUD, I had to lower the BG track JUST ENOUGH so that the voices could be heard over it while still keeping IT audible as well...and that caused me to ALSO have to up the volume for the vocals and...HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Especially on the really high/loud notes.

    ...Uh.
Fixed, I think. Punctuation is key. I didn't get that and almost told you to start a new thread if you were having trouble with Pocaloid XD

But no, it's just the normal BG sound on an UTAU.
Seriously, try the compressor, Ren-dear. *hopes you don't mind being called that*

whoa, I've got a 10-in netbook too! That's crazy, lol. Is yours HP?

Anyway, I find humming happens when the sound is too loud for the track, so it's oversaturated, and will make it hum/sound like there's white noise in the background. So if you reduce the audio on the parts that hum by something small (like one db, or something), maybe it'll stop.

If it's something else, the compressing should work.
