Cooperation in the UTAU-community CONTEST!

That sound like a good way to solve the UTAU shortage to me. But it's up to smeen in the end.

It's just my two cents that if we're making a chorus, we should allow users to use the banks they're most comfortable with.
I'm most comfortable with human sounding VCV banks.
Some people are most comfortable with robotic sounding banks.

We shouldn't try to focus on making a lot of rules and regulations and making it as contest-esque as possible. We should try our hardest to make it so that people can create the BEST products possible.

Sticking me with Kenta and telling me to make him sing a song will make me just run him through the UST.
Sticking me with VCV Camila and saying to make her sing will make me slave over the UST to take out the slurs. And know something? I'll have more fun than if I used Kenta, even if using Camila made me use so much more effort.

Of course, I would understand wanting to make sure that we were spreading the love around and there was only one instance of each UTAU in the choruses.

But, being fair to everyone by saying that they have to use a set list of UTAUs isn't being fair to the world.
In my opinion, it is most important that we work hard, and make a product we'll be super proud of. To do that, we need to use banks that we're comfortable with, we know how to use well, and fit in with the voices around it.

(but...you might not even get to use the UTAU you enter anyway...)

OK, lemme get this straight.

You enter with an Overseas UTAU you got permission of to use in this contest. If you're not comfortable with your own, you ask somebody else for permission. (Most persons enter with their own VB though...) You enter with ONE VB! (That was in the original description, but I apparently wasn't very clear about that.) After the closing date (next Thursday), I will be making groups. You will be making a chorus with that group.

If something still isn't clear, please tell me.

And if someone thinks I got it totally wrong... Go ahead and shoot me. I'm going to do this LIKE THIS.

Anyway, for those wanting an update: I just closed the contest and we have 19 contestants. Stupid number if tyou ask me, but I'll manage to make groupsv with it. There will be three groups of five and one group of four.

Yay! I can't wait to start!

Me neither. Too bad I am, actually, Someone sent me a message yesterday with the question if I could add her but she had to upload her UTAU first. (Killing some bugs ETC.)

So, waiting on that before confirming the groups. I have some ready though.
