Falseloid
Newly born singer on-stage,
Nervous, but always ready,
That is me!
I know my skill can't compare,
Because the others are superior,
In sound and function.
I keep trying, though...
Can you blame me?
If you can blame this voice,
This little Falseloid,
I cannot blame you for it.
I blame myself too,
For you see, do you?
I am truly a Falseloid.
Big pink drills arrive on-scene,
A familiar voice declares,
"Kasane Territory!"
The others crowd her,
While I cower meekly to the side.
Would you want to see me,
This little Falseloid,
With her lack of talent and poise?
If you can hear this voice,
The voice of this little Falseloid,
I can't blame you for it.
I don't sound that good,
For you see, do you?
I am truly a Falseloid.
She spots me and walks over.
"Sing," she commands.
I attempt to protest against
This little pink-haired diva,
But eventually, I sing.
Ra-ra-ra-ba-ba-ka-ka-ra~!
The others cover their ears;
They've heard this before,
For Mistress attempts a bit
To make me sing a tune.
But the diva smiles and says,
"Practice, and a bit of tuning!"
But I know that she is faking...
After all, am I not who I am?
I am me, this little Falseloid.
I cannot blame her for her mistake,
But she's wrong, so wrong...
For you see, do you?
I am truly a Falseloid.
"Falseloid?" she asks.
I must have spoken aloud.
"Falseloid," she repeats,
tapping her foot as her drills bounce.
"Yes," I stammer.
"Because I do not sound like...
Like, well, them."
"You are not false!"
She pokes her finger to my chest,
an amusing sight, I am sure.
"You are not a Falseloid...
How else could you sing?
Why else do you have a voice?
You are the only true you!"
Her words startle me,
but there is truth.
I have a voice.
I can sing, a little.
My skills can not really compare,
but, with practice,
and a bit of tuning,
I can make it...right?
After all, am I not who I am?
I am me, my own personal voice.
I can not blame myself for my mistake,
but I was wrong, so wrong...
For you see, do you?
I am truly myself!
