no, I think that's all you'll need, those base vowels and then "n" and "ng" as ending consonants. (I don't really know that much chinese, I only know korean and japanese readings, ahaaa;; )

OH WAIT.
You'll still need the "y" and "w" vowels in chinese too.
Like, ia, ua, uo... etc. (you need those because they're pronounced together at the begining of a word; For Guo you don't sing "guuuuuu-o" but "guooooooo")

I'm not too sure if i need to call them vowels, since y and w are initial consonants already. Also, I found a table with all the Cantonese finals: http://humanum.arts.cuhk.edu.hk/Lexis/lexi-can/

And it says that "yu" is also a vowel so that goes in too. I also forgot to add "a" which is pronounced like "uh"

I can't really tell it's accuracy since I suck at Cantonese actually. For me, "Dou (road)" is "Lou" and "Nei (you)" is "Lei" lol

I used this for reference. Are you? lol

I'll try making that to see my results on a bunch of reclists I wanna make xD

How to get a reclist from a VCV bank AND steal their OTO file:

Open bank's folder.
Put OTO.ini in safe place that isn't in folder.
Open UTAU.
Open that bank's OTO screen and a blank OTO will be made (with [sample].wav=0,0,0,0,0 (or something like that)).
Open that OTO file with a program that has a search and replace feature. (Such as Microsoft Office Word or Notepad Plus)
Search and replace all non-Japanese characters (in a Japanese list. In a list recorded in latin characters, you'd have to search by .wav=0,0,0,0,0 or something.) (It's a little time consuming.)
Save that where you'll remember it.
If you want the romaji, run it through romaji.org.
Record that list.
Copy the original OTO. Put one copy in your bank and one in the original bank.
Then you just have to edit the OTO.ini in UTAU or SetParam to make it work!
The most annoying part is aliases, and this fixes that problem Smile

I guess you'll need one for my Dutch reclist too (when it's finished)... I don't really know if there is one. And I don't know if non-Dutch people will use my reclist, but that's off-topic.

By the way, when making this reclist I kinda figured I need to make vowel-consonant things. Is this even possible in UTAU?

Meh, I'm already learning three languages. Ought to be enough for now. (I can speak Dutch and English fluently and have classes in French and German)

Um, I actually dislike using Camilas list (Again, no offense Yesi T__T), as it seems kind of improvised and some of it WILL NOT WORK IN UTAU.

I dunno if either have uploaded it, but Aiko's English and Shous English are great.
I'd suggest using these, or waiting until PaintedCz VVCCV English reclist is released (fff- I'm waiting for this and Shous list XD)

Actually, there's more consonant sounds than you think in English.

For example, "Sb" is used when the previous word ends with an S and the next begins with a B. The S sound carries over and that way, there's no lisp when you render English in UTAU. (The technique is to know when to carry over ending consonants, such "English in" wouldn't be "i/ng-gli/sh ;/n" but be "i/ng-gli sh;/n")

This is the same with a few other consonants I have in there. (I left a couple out though that I thought wasn't as important, because the list was reaching close to 1000)

About the romaji Ritsu reclist, I translated it myself.

I was talking about Aisu making a new, different reclist, based in a new recording method she've seen on Nico. She didn't translate Ritsu's list, she's making a completely new one.

That's the CVC list. Let's NOT use that until someone else does it... maybe then we'd have a more "Official" list.
Plus, chances are, no one will use it anyway, until a plugin comes out, because CVCs are entirely new. It's not like combining to recordings together- it's like combining 4 together, and that's impossible without cutting it straight inside UTAU's notation thingy.... and the otos are near impossible.

No, you don't have to record wa2 or wo2.
They're there because in kana, wa and wo have two different ways to be written. (Even though most people just use aliases for this anyway)

Also heads up, there's no such thing as "wu" in japanese, only a long "u"

I was, uh, about to say that that reclist is a little old. Syo is very correct XD

Things like that and "rwa" and stuff...
Are kinda wrong...
I use them anyway, however, because I don't need what they really are...
And I like having the extra files for Engrish XD
