New UTAU, with new engine

It seems like the new version of UTAU uses a new engine, called 'M4'. It hasn't been released to the public yet, but it is said to have this:

'Compared the current engine "resampler", connection between sounds has become smoother by changing the method from crossfading to voice morphing.' - Vocaloid Creativity Community.

She sounds so smooth. Nowhere near human-like quality, but the engine makes it sound so much smoother.

I have shareware, but it still mostly looks the same as normal UTAU. ^^ I think that's just the update that makes it look like that, even if shareware users may get more benifits

Usually when new UTAU comes out I take a long time to upgrade, but THIS I am getting right away.

I'm almost sure a weird "you're not Japanese" error will show so I can't make it work with my computer.

that whould be nice to have a fully translated utau... the english patch is nice but everything isnt translated....

also what if in the new utau we have to record differently xP like how nal is recorded.... but if we have to i think utau will act more like vocaloid then xD

if Utauloid will sound like a Vocaloid...then that would b good.

I dunno, the demo sounds lovely. Very smooth. But the .UST looks like a mess. I would hate to configure that!

It seems interesting.. Definitely less choppy, but I think only some parts are actually better sounding. But maybe that's the voice, which I don't like all that much >.< The feature at the bottom looks interesting too, I'd like to see what exactly it does.

That actually appears similar to the VOCALOID control track.... Not on a seperate part of the window, but still.
Seems like it controls the envelopes in a more pinpoint manner.

IF THIS REQUIRES SHAREWARE TO EVENTUALLY DO THEN I WILL STEAL GET SHAREWARE. REALLY.

/EDIT: Okay, I cleared this up.
I listened to some more demos for the new engine. The resampler doesn't sound all that different. The only differences are better envelope and better pitch control.
So the video that was just posted? It was just a really good editor who knows how to use pitchbends (prolly has shareware).

You don't have to pay for it (UTAU).
It's free, but you gain benefits from paying...
Except the only real benefit currently is a shinier interface... XD Some of us were kinda hoping, that because money was payed, some features (such as that cool pitch tracer feature and such) are Shareware only.
And some of us, naturally, are hoping like hell that they aren't.
